I am so sorry that you lost your dear friend. Glad to read that it didn't appear that she was in pain, as she still had some spunk in her. It's hard losing a loved one.

I'm very sorry about your friend. It's really tough. I had this happen two years ago...my friend died of breast cancer. She had been in remission for five years after a double mascestomy. It came back with a vengeance. I would bring her tons of magazines to read...STAR, National Inquirer, etc. I called her the afternnon she died...she wasn't up for a visit, so I said I'd leave them in her mailbox. I don't think she ever got to read them. My prayers are with you. ~Lisa |

I too am very sorry for your loss. I love your last sentence about Heaven being a better place. Having lost someone I cared for today, this brought me a measure of peace. Take care, and take comfort in the fact that she wasn't in pain. Mariah |

Thank you all for your sweet and thoughtful remarks. Her funeral was yesterday. Have to tell you guys this --- she LOVED Elvis. Her daughter had made a Top Ten of things she loved that was read at the funeral, and Elvis was in the Top Ten! The first song at her funeral was a recording of Elvis singing a hymn (I can't remember now what it was) and at the end, as the pastor finished, he said 'and now we're going to hear from Elvis again.' Everybody laughed, and then another recording of Elvis singing "Peace in the Valley"! |
