I have always been against video games but I finally cracked!!
I got the Wii because of the exercise programs and I love it!!
Friday I was able to find the Wii and Wii Fit.
This weekend I also purchased the Jenny McCarthy (sp?) camera/workout~I am hopeful to really start that tomorrow.
My entire family has been going non stop on the Fit all weekend. (we even have our 3 cats on it)
The only "game" that I did go ahead and buy was the NASCAR race game with a wheel. I told the man at GameStop that that was a store that I had never entered before. I was surprised to see that the prices there were no different from TRU and Target.
Sunday I ran in and purchased an additional wand.

Does anyone have the other active exercise gear/program that has a wrap around your knee ?? If so what do you think about it?

I will probably purchase the FIFA 10 game for my husband next month for his birthday. I also got an offer in the mail for gamefly.com for a 15 day trial. I requested this game and the Dance game.

I tell you that Wii has cut back my computer and facebook time!!

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

I have the Active program and I do like it a lot. The exercises, while the same throughout the program, vary the workout enough for me to stay "entertained". I do sweat and I am sore the next day so it does me some good.

Just be careful....I know of two people that broke their t.v. screens playing...lol

I bought my girls one for Christmas and we hooked it up to our Bose TV in the basement....dh said there was no way he was going to watch them throw the remote thru our plasma tv.

I am going to look for the Wii Fit plus, that was a main reason I wanted to get them the Wii....so I can 'play' too.

Make sure you put that wrist strap on. We always do. It's a pretty cool system. Over Christmas when my son was home for winter break we had some game for it where you are the leader of a marching band in a parade with all the other characters you have made. So my 18 yr old is marching on the pad and using both arms to hit the stars and he looked so funny doing that. I still laugh whenever I picture him. He looked kind of like a goofy kid. I told him that if someone were to look in our window I don't know what they'd think! lol .I sure miss him.....we had soooo much fun over break. I should try and find out what that game is-it's a fun one.

I know absolutely nothing about Wii.

But I'm wondering if this is something that would be useful for someone in their 60's who has had a heart attack. Do you think it would help him regain his health/strength?

Any information and suggestions would be really appreciated.

Also, how expensive is this?
