I find that this board, like any other, goes thru ebbs and flows....up and down....busy and slow. Maybe you should just give this board a few weeks and see if you like it? Maybe you have, I don't know.

As far as other "chat" boards, I don't know.

I am hit or miss. When things start to get nasty...I leave for awhile. I hate that crap (even if it doesn't involve me). I know a lot of people went to another board but I haven't been there in quite awhile so I don't know if they are there anymore.

I was around back then, but wouldn't pay. As I recall, there were a few boards I couldn't go to.

I was around since pretty much the beginning. Never paid for a membership, but remember something about it. I also didn't frequent what is now the cafe, just the internet shopping board. Came back and couldn't remember my password and had to change username. I wish I had known about this chat back then...;0)

When did this site start up?

I've been here since I was 22, hence my name. I was on bedrest with my youngest ds so I just hung out on here and other sites. There's been long chunks of time that I've left the board.

I've been here since the beginning, I think. It was back when my boys were young teens. They're 26 now. I remember I had to change my username (added another 2 to the end) because something happened and I couldn't get on or something. Can't remember....

I started coming here in 1999.

There are still a few of us "old timers" around. I think this board started in 1998, but could have been 97. I found it in 1999. After a couple of years there was a portion of it that was a paid part, but that didn't last too long. When it first started there was only a couple of boards, it has grown over the years!

I have been around since the beginning too. I remember when each day the number of members would get updated and it was only in the hundreds! Back then I was on a first name basis with my UPS and FedEx guys...I saw them both everyday!!

I found it back when I was starting up EthnicGrocer.com. We got a surge of orders because of a coupon code we floated out there, and got a ton of crazy orders all generating from this site. That was back in 97 or 98....

I too miss the UPS andFedEx man coming often with free items.
I think that we are to blame for the online pet store going broke.
My favorite thing I learned on mycoupons was the summer of the Sears $5 coupons!!

Been around since 1999 have done alot on the coupon swap board and used to be a member when it was the family board if I remember. Have met many wonderful ladies both here at the cafe and at the coupon swap board. Peace. Catherine

I've been around for what feels like forever, but I spend maybe 5 minutes a day here now. Other sites still have many deals posted, but the main board here just seemed to die. I also remember when the UPS guy would bring multiple freebies every day, and we'd never pay for a thing at Amazon, thanks to Freeride. Sometimes I wish I could go back and spend the extra money for a cable modem- just so I could take better advantage of all of the deals being offered!

I can remember back to 2001 (9/11) but I might have been here longer.

I joined in 2000, I also don't stop by much anymore. Too much squabbling between members.
I also miss the good old days, lots of great deals, and the UPS driver stopping by to deliver them every couple of days!

I'm here! Is there a chat feature I missed though? Maybe one morning we can schedule a time, get a cup of coffee and make a morning of it.

I have been registered since 2000, but there were several years that I didnt even come to the site. I can't remember if I ever came to the cafe before 2009. I did get in on the Sears $5 coupon deal, it was posted at another site that I went to. I LOVED that deal.

I also started in 1999 - yikes! I used to do Freeride and start sampling and all those baby codes by that artsy fartsy company - I got so much for free back then!

It's interesting to see how many members have been around for over 10 years.

Me too more than 10 years now. Hard to believe!

One of the first freebies I remember is the pair of tennis shoes. And the Great Entertaining stuff.

Gosh I remember Beans now. I had completely forgotten those.

All the Duncan Donut coffee, Drugstore.Com stuff, Amazon GCs, and basically free DVDs are what I mostly remember. The kids loved free Dans chocolate and free candy bars from REI. The UPS guy and I were on a first name basis for a long time.

Dogs LOVED the Pets.com stuff. I am actually wearing a Pets.com sweatshirt as I type this.
