She's from our area. It's just a mystery all around.... if Morgan wasn't let back into the concert, why didn't her friends try to help get her back in. Instead, her friends said she told them to take her car back to Va Tech and she'd find a way home. So her friends leave after the concert, not looking for Morgan and drive back from UVA to Virginia Tech in HER car. They didn't notify her parents (who live in Roanoke and from where they had met before the concert). It was only the next day when she didn't show up at her parents home (her dad was going to help her study for a math exam), did the friends tell her parents what had happened. I was talking to a friend of mine who knows one of the girls and she said she was having a really hard time dealing with this. I said well, I hope so... I hope she and the other friends realize that had they made an effort to help Morgan the night before, she'd probably still be with us today. I mean, who leaves a friend behind?
Where Morgan was found is a 700 acre farm and the area is accessible only with a ATV or walking. It had to be someone who knew the area. I just feel so sorry for her parents. They've been on our local TV stations since Morgan's disappearance and have always appeared so loving of their daughter and supportive. They seemed to be 'older' parents, looks like maybe they had her later in life, so I'm sure she was their pride and joy. And Morgan was a beautiful girl.
It's just such a sad time in our area. Morgan's body found yesterday; and today the little 3 year old boy whose stepfather murdered him 2 weeks ago, his body was found in the Roanoke landfill.
I posted on my Facebook for young girls especially to never think 'it won't happen to me', because it can happen to you.
