My Target store is remodeling....is yours?

Hi all! I went to the Target store nearest me today and they are re-modeling the food section. The store only opened last July, but they are already changing the food section to include produce.

Does your Target have produce? What food items do you purchase at Target that are at better prices than the regular market?

I tend to usually purchase my dairy products, shelf stable products and some other frozen foods there. The prices are much more reasonable than I can get them elsewhere without having to clip coupons.

Ours just opened in October and it has produce. I find that my local grocery store is less expensive, unless Target is having a sale.

Yes, they are! I believe the produce section will debut in late February. They have made some of the aisles more narrow (in fact so narrow that only one customer with a cart at a time) and some of the shelves have been reduced in size to eye level. It really looks different than before.

They remodeled one of my Target stores (there are 3 close) and it now includes some produce, and meat. It is not a huge selection and I find that the meat and produce were more expensive than my regular stores.
However, I usually shop at Target for frozen, dairy, cheese, cereals and other staples as they are always cheaper.

We have 3 Targets close - 1 isn't a Super Center so it only has a small grocery section. The other 2 are Super Centers and have always had produce. I don't find Target grocery prices any better than the grocery store, so I rarely buy anything there - only if I'm there and need a couple items. I do buy non-perishables at WalMart, but not meat, produce or dairy.
