Lingerie for 8-10 year old girls????? what is wrong with people

I was listening to the radio on my way to work and they were talking about the new Lingerie line from Noah Cyrus (Miley's 9 year old sister) and Emily Grace Reaves. From what they are saying the line is called OOh La La Countour (or something like that) and they are basically designing lingerie for girls ages 8-12. It was also mentioned that some of the items may be a little too risque for little girls, and described a pair of pink panties covered in black lace.
I have an 8 1/2 year old DD and yes she loves Hannah Montana and all the stuff most girls her age do BUT there is no way she will be getting (or wearing) anything that looks as if it belongs at Victoria Secret. I was wondering what others thought of this?

Sounds raunchy to me. Little girls should not dress sexy, and any mother who thinks this is cute, should have her head examined. Gosh, I'm not even surprised that the Cyrus's are involved with this.

"Little Girls should not dress sexy"

I so agree! They grow up fast enough. There is NO WAY my 8 year old would wear anything like that. Then again, she doesn't watch Miley Cyrus or any of that crap

I so agree! Last year I was trying to buy a bra for my then 12-year-old. I had to look everywhere because they were all PADDED! She's was just beginning to develop and it was time to move her out of the little trainer sports-type bra. She nor I wanted her to go to school the next day with noticable boobs (that weren't there the day before and weren't even hers!) We finally found some but it took some effort! I find it all disgusting! They're just little girls. It's no wonder that pedophelia (sp?) is becoming more and more on an issue.

I think I would have to see the clothing before forming an opinion!

Here it is

Ooh La La Couture

it's cute it's not floozyish like we thought it would be. Hey with what they're dressing little girls in these days I was sure it would be something hookerish. But thank God they haven't lost their senses. These are really really cute and apropriate for little girls.

I can see wearing padded bras. When your your young and your breasts are just developing they are soo sensitive.Anyone who just "happens" to bump into them and its like "AGHHHHH"! It hurts! I would have liked having a padded bra back then. But as far as lingerie, I don't think so.Besides ,thats an easy way for a kid to catch cold and why on earth would any mother want her daughter running around the house at night around her family in lingerie. That picture is just messed up.

Ok...it didn't look like underwear to me and the only place most of what was under oh la la would be appropriate at is a dance recital. Tulle mini skirts? huh? The tank tops were ok but the skirts would not be appropriate for school or play for that matter (in my opinion )

LMAO! I would have DIED if my mother had ever dressed me in something like that! Thank goodness my mother never made me take ballerina classes!

When I clicked on the link I didn't know what to expect...but it's not bad at all. It looks like typical dance wear...not lingerie. I don't like lingerie for children...I think it's nasty. I can't see why anyone would want their child to dress provocatively.

Me, too. I did just look and unless I missed something, I saw nothing really wrong. It was ugly, but not nasty.

That was first thought.....Dance Recital. I'm confused; is this everyday wear or lingerie? Whatever they are, where on earth where a young girl where this? Those big, polka dance skirts look silly.

Glad I held off judgement, until I actually saw the clothing line. I don't see anything wrong with it. Its cute! I couldn't imagine either of my girls would have worn it (tomboys), but I know some little girls that would just love them!

In my opinion it's more of a dress up kind of thing. I don't see anyone wearing them to school or to play but when I was a little girl I would have loved this stuff as I wanted to be a ballerina when I grew up well into the third grade.

From what I gather, that is their current line. The rumor was that they would launch a lingerie line, not that they had already made one. (which they deny they are planning to)

Sounds to me like it is all based on *rumor*. Part of my New Years Resolution this year was to try to be less judgemental. With that being said.....its hard to judge something that isn't even out there yet! Can't imagine getting all worked up about this clothing line, until its actually out there.

Some little girls are very prissy and like all that ballerina stuff and others don't. I don't see anything bad about it. What I think is ridiculous are those beauty pagents where they try to make a 6 years look like a hooker with an inch of makeup! That's just sick if you ask me! UGH!

ETA that one leopard outfit was kind of uncalled for!

I don't care for these but don't find them sleazy either, at least not the ones I looked at. Just kinda reminds me of a cheaper version of Zoodles. They do look like something you'd see at a dance recital. Some 'girly' girls would probably like them...

My 4 year old would be all over those tutus! She loves them. She wears some form of "princess" dress/costume every day. She actually has a few tutus/pettiskirts that she wears for every day.
I'm afraid to show that page to her, but maybe an idea for her birthday.

Some of it reminds me of Madonna back in the day!

On a side note-in 8th grade sewing class I was so flat chested I actually had to use a girls dress pattern for the dresses we had to make. Talk about embarrassing!!! I was the only one to do so. I wouldn't have wanted a padded bra. I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and I got over it. Now my chest is huge! lol
