A Money Saving Cleaning Tip

Love Swiffer but hate buying and throwing away the cloths? Go to $ Tree, buy a bunch of micro fiber cleaning cloths, put one on your Swiffer and swiff away. Then just throw in the laundry. They last quite a long time and work really well. I haven't tried them "wet" but I'm sure they would work that way also.

They work great when wet also. I've been doing this for about a couple of years now and am amazed at what they pick up.

We have a dog that sheds a LOT and the dry microfiber works as well if not better than the paper Swiffer product. I damp mop my hard wood kitchen floor daily with a microfiber cloth dampened with plain water.

What a great invention.

You can spray white vinegar on the floor too and use your "swiffer pad". It cleans and freshens a little more than water. There are also recipes on the internet to mix and use on your floor that mimic swiffer cleaning fluid. It uses rubbing alcohol, vinegar and water I believe. Do a google. The vinegar works well for me.

Don't ya love saving money????

I clean a lot of things with vinegar, the smell evaporates pretty quick and it's cheaper and safer than most chemicals. For things that need to be scrubbed I use baking soda.

Wink

I use vinegar and plain baking soda and plain hot hot water to clean so many things in my home. Its plain and simple and cheap and cleans so much better then brand names items. Once a week I put in small cup some cold water, one 1/2 cup of vinegar and a couple of teaspoons of baking soda and put it into the microwave and hit 2 minutes it cleans and smells so fresh. Peace to all. Catherine
