I keep seeing the eagles with sightings 7 out of the last 8 days. Both of them were back on Wednesday but didn't hang around long.





They were even on the same boat house.

Yesterday I had a downy woodpecker show up in my yard. They were fairly common up in Massachusetts but this is the first one I've seen since I moved to Florida.



Today as I was coming back from the store I spotted another eagle flying parallel to the road I was on. I was going 40 mph and was barely keeping up with him.



And the wood storks are back. They're cute in an ugly sort of way.



This is, I think, a pine warbler and it's a female. The males are amazingly yellow but the females are pretty too. I've been trying to get a picture of both of them for days but they're nervous little things. The male was out there at the same time but took off before I could line up a shot. If nothing else, taking pictures of birds is an exercise in patience.
