Question Has anyone washed on ipod?

I just was hanging up my shorts when I discovered that I washed my iPod shuffle.
Has anyone had any success stories on fixing one before?
Thanks.

I didn't wash mine but it did get submerged. I shook and blew out as much water as I could and then put it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a couple days. It did the trick.
I read this on the Kim Kommando site in an article about wet cell phones. She had some good suggestions, here is her link:

I washed and dried one of the older Shuffles and it still works just fine. Try the rice

I washed my cell phone just last week. I took out the battery, dried it off as best as I could and put it in a bag of rice for a few days. It seems to be working fine.

I googled it

how to save an ipod that went through the wash - Google Search

I would think that rice would work. It's what many of these pages say.

I washed my son's ipod touch a couple of weeks ago. I didn't do the rice but just left it off and upright so it could finish drying out. It works just fine now but has some screen smears from where I wiped the screen when I found it in the washer. Good luck!

I am happy to report that my husband dried it with my hair dryer for a bit and placed it on the charger and the next morning it worked!!
I love that thing and could not stand the thought of going to the gym without it.
Thank you all for your help.

Your title certainly made me lol. I've said for a long time with all the things the cell phones do, I'd just like to have one that does my dishes.

I was all set to get an ipod when I read your title and thought the thing would do my laundry!
