One week to the first episode of "The Pacific" oh HBO and after watching the trailers, the "Making of" and the other teasers on HBO I am trying hard not to compare it to Band of Brothers. Just wondering if people believe it will be as good as was Band of Brothers.

Dh is all geared up to watch this. He watches Band of Brothers every time it's on the History Channel. We got him the dvd a few years ago too but he's never even opened it-says he wants to save it.
We just added HBO again so he can watch Pacific.

I just bought hubby the book. He is a huge history buff. We don't get HBO, so I am going to see if my sister in law will DVR it for us, so he can watch it. I think it looks good, but I will be curious to see if the *love story* part they show on the movie previews is actually in the book itself. Dh hasn't gotten that far yet in his reading...

We just added HBO, just for this series. I am really excited too. We love Band Of Brothers. I bought the series for him when it came out.

Hope that it is as good as Band of Brothers.
