I don't know if this would be the correct board to post this on.

But since Farmville has become so popular, I was thinking that perhaps we could start a board on here related to Farmville.

I just started playing not long ago. I could sure use some more friends and neighbors. But I don't like the idea of complete strangers.

So maybe a board requesting friends and also posting any hints for playing.

What do you think?

I don't like Farmville I find it boring and there's not really a lot of interacting which is what I like. It's just plowing, planting, and harvesting. You can't really "play". I like Pet Society and Scrabble.

I play FarmTown. I tried FV, but it was too cartoony and you could'nt chat or talk to other players like you can in FT. I also tried Petville, but it was the same way. Too childish and cartoony. I haven't tried Pet Society or the Scabble yet, but I do like the Bejeweled Blitz. And Treasure Madness is fun too.

Like I had said, I have just started on Facebook and Farmville.

How about a board to cover all the games on Facebook?

My SIL got me hooked on FV on NYE. At 8:00pm I said no way I didn't know anything about it was wasn't going to. By midnight I was hooked and had my farm going and had neighbors. It is the most fun I have had playing a game in a long time. I am not much on games. I find I have connected with High school friends I haven't talked to in years. I interact with my two SIL's My BIL my SIL's mother, their friends I only see maybe three times a year,and nephews more than I ever did before. I never thought I would get many neighbors but you will be surprised how many you find. I friended friends of friends. Mostly people my SIL and her mother work with.We do talk and interact with each other using the comment box. What I like about it is that you earn coins and can buy houses and decorations without spending real money. You can go on a spending spree!. My SIL will come on the live chat and tell me that she is sending a collection or a golden egg etc. to be ready for it. We end up talking on the live chat then. We would never think to pick up the phone before FV and talk at midnight like we have done a few times now. I find it very fun . Go to your neighbors farms and see what they have done with them No two farms are the same. I went crazy for a few weeks and built my coins up to 3 mil. then deleated most of my plots and sold off most of my animals. I then bought all of my buildings and set up a nice town. Now I only have to plow etc once a day.

I play both farmville and farmtown. great stress buster for me.

I would love to be neighbors with all of you. Only problem I have noticed is as your neighbors get a lot of neighbors it makes it really hard to get their collections, eggs etc. But never mind that,I am busy all day tomorrow but will hopefully try to send neighbor requests sometime on the weekend. I am not exactly sure how to do that though. I have always just responded to a friend suggestion or request. I will need to take a few minutes to figure it out.

Does anyone know how to make a friend a neighbor? For some reason, the function to do this doesn't seem to be working. I go to invite friends to be neighbors and when I do the request, it just bounces back.

Joyce - have you been doing this long? Have you had this problem before? At least I'm glad to know it's not just me. Thought maybe it was my deoderant or something.

I have be using it for about 8 months. Yesterday was the first time I had any problem.I now see my new neighbors but when I click to get a bonus or something from them it says you can't give something to yourself.

I have had that same problem. I try to get something and the message is something like you can't get from your own collection. I also keep getting a neighbor request from a friend and I accept it but it is back the next day. I don't know the person. He is a friend of a friend. I think to get a friend as a neighbor you go the the neighbors box and you find your friends. The rectangle with the bule box next to their picture. Click that . Is that what you are doing mrsnudge? I haven't tried in a few days.

I guess I am the odd one out here lol I do not play any of those games at all. Literally I do have the time for one thing however I do see many people love it and truly enjoy playing the games so here is more power to you all enjoy your games for life is way too short. I'm sure I'm doing the "neighbor invite" thing correctly. But when I click, my same friends just keep showing up to invite. It just isn't working. Guess I'll have to keep trying until it's fixed. But I think I tried too many times yesterday because then I couldn't send out gifts. It kept telling me I made too many requests.

I also am having the same problem with getting stuff from some of my friends. It keeps telling me I can't get from my own collection.

Then I keep posting on my wall to get gifts for my Maison. But not too many people are paying attention. I even sent messages and they ignore me (including my cousin). I like to send what someone wants, so please let me know if there is anything in particular that you want.

If anyone is interested, I still need everything BUT the bricks for my Maison.

dying to see your farm.

I love seeing all the different farms. They're all so different and some are just fantastic. But definitely don't expect much from mine being relatively new at this. Besides, I've put in more area to plant than anything else trying to build up those elusive FV dollars for now.

And I'm expanding as often as I'm able. But they don't give much opportunity for that.

Yes, having a lot of problems with that. But all my new neighbors finally showed up this morning.

LOL - no problem at all. I'm having a problem matching the names on FV with the names here. I'm so confused. Don't know who's who.

I'm so addicted to Farmville and Cafe World. It's my stress reliever after work. I also try and do Country Life, Farm Town, Barn Buddy, Happy Aquarium and Super Poke Pets. I'm sure there's more but I can't remember them all. LOL Usually when I trade in collections and stuff on Farmville, I'm on the phone with one of my friends so she can collect on it. I just hate that some of the stuff is gone what seems likes before it's posted. Oh well, like I said, it's just a stress reliever for me and I've met some really nice people and some friends I haven't seen/talked too in some time.

jovia I sent a friend request this afternoon. I hope your not disappointed with my farm. I have seen some amazing ones. Much better than mine. I am still saving my coins to buy two more buildings. It's a work in progress.

Ladystrange I know what you mean about the collections. I have noticed that when stuff goes fast that person has a lot of neighbors. And yes dispite that fustration I do find farming very relaxing. That is what my SIL says also. A girl from my HS class that is on the reunion committee friended me when I joined my class FB page. I was never friends with her but she plays FV and she was one of the first neighbor's I had when I started FV. Turns out her sister has done my taxes for years. If I ever knew they were sisters I had forgotten. When I walked into the office she was working for her sister. I reconized her right away. I never would have reconized her if I haden't seen her picture.Through her I have reconnected with some friends I haven't seen in years and some I was never friends with but we are now.

I don't think getting the maison built will be a problem. Just put out messages every day for what you need.I find most everyone helps as much as they can.

I didn't have you before - but gotcha now. I think we are now friends. I'll send a neighbor invitation as soon as I get a chance. Was just planting for the evening. They really need to put flood lights out at night. Is it my imagination or does it get dark at night?

Everyone tries to help - that's true. But they don't read my postings. I've been posting every day on what I need. Yesterday my cousin decided I need gloves for my collections instead of stuff for my Maison. Today I received bricks from 2 neighbors even though I specifically said I don't need bricks. But I'll get it done somehow. But most are really trying to help.

Yes, it's been a wonderful experience. And we've had some nice chats.

Now if we could just get it to work without any further malfunctions and if I could just get my Maison completed. I was able to get some more property today and that made me happy.

I still have not been able to successfully acquire any of you as neighbors. All gifts I accept from any mycoupons friends are not coming through to me. I see the notice and click to accept them, but then they never show up in my gift box. Funny, because the problem is only with the mycoupons friends! my other neighbors are working just fine. hmmmm?

I wasn't able to get that last gift you sent me either. But as we discussed when we chatted earlier, I think that will all be resolved once we are neighbors.

rpasek and I were having the same problem. Once we became neighbors, we were able to send each other gifts. I just don't know how long it takes to become a neighbor. There still seems to be a lot of malfunctioning on Farmville.

I'm also having problems with another friend of mine and we are neighbors. But I never see when she is on even though I know she is on. And I don't think she can see what I post on my wall. I think everyone else can see it. If not, please let me know.
