Hair Coloring Tip

If you hate getting hair color on your skin and don't want to buy the special stuff to prevent it just use a Chap Stick. Rub it around the hairline on your skin: your forehead, around your ears and on the back of your neck it will prevent the hair color from staining your skin.

And, if it does get on you, germ x will take it right off.

2 great tips, thanks. Do you suppose I could use a Burt's Bee (non-petro) Chapstick type thing?

I cream my skin with vitamin E cream to prevent staining and that works well. Also good for the skin.

Chapstick wiped across your eyebrows will also keep sunscreen from dripping onto your eyes when you sweat.

Great tip! I hate it when my forehead gets stained. While we are on the subject of hair coloring, is it safe to color hair in a tub surrounded by tile? If the hair color drips or splatters on the tile or grout, will it stain? I just did some upgrades to my bathroom and I don't want any stains.

Yes I think a "paste" of anything will work.

Regular shampoo does the trick.

Regular shampoo doesn't work to wash hair dye off skin. If you mean to put some shampoo on your skin I don't think that will work as it will drip down your face.

I think chapstick is a better option.

Will any hand sanitizer work or does it have to be germ x?

Yes shampoo does work. I was in cosmetology school and that is all that was used. And to this day I still use just plain shampoo.
