GOP doubles down on the crazy

Found this on another board:

Quote:
As a former "Young Republican" it's sad what has happened to the GOP. There are legitimate conservative thinkers in this country, but they did not attract enough votes to get elected. So the GOP sold out to the nut jobs, ran Bush for president - a man not remotely qualified for the job - followed that up by nominating Palin to be a 72 year old heartbeat away from the presidency and attacked anything and anybody that was even remotely sensible as being elitist. Now instead of learning from its mistakes the GOP doubles down on the crazy. We can see by this week's events how well THAT has been working.
Well said!

Don't be ridiculous. Bush was and still is a war hero. And Sarah is likely to become the next president. God bless her.

Omg thank you for the laugh -- electing a president with zero experience who is driving the country in the ground was a great move on the democrats part which is why when election time comes in November they'll all be voted out.

Not to mention the brainless VP we have now who with all the threats on the president is just a shot away from being the President

God help us.

You're welcome. I liked the quote too. You might like this quote too:

I hope to God Sarah Palin is NOT the next President or even walks by the White House. THAT would be a sad day for America.

It's not ok for a traditional woman with good morals and values to become president. What should she do? Become a phone sex operator? Do tell.

Pepperpot do you have something againist Annadrose why do you keep mentioning the job about being a phone sex operator to her. She did not do that job and even if she did, its her business. I seriously think Nancy Pelosi is in cahoots with Satan. I'm dead serious.
Sarah Palin had tons more experience that B. Obama. Those are facts. Obama just knows Chicago style politics, which are horrible.

Unfortunately some people are not concerned with real facts....just facts they believe are the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth...which means nothing since they are just relying on "feelings" and "their truth".

Fact......Sarah Palin absolutely, unequivically does have more experience than obama and it has nothing to do with how I feel.

Kokosiland I totally agree with you about Momrajum it is her views that Sarah Palin has way more experience then our President Obama, excuse me but who was voted into office Obama was not Palin.Momrajum I thought I explained the whole suituation with the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Again I should have stated my personal views and the truth I believe is that Bush was the worst President, and the truth I believe is that no way no how could Sarah Palin have more experience then Obama thats your personal view and this is mine.I clearly clearly remember the interview Katie Couric did with Governor Palin , it was horrible she truly could not answer the questions, I rather have Katie as president before I would ever ever ever vote for Palin God forbid. Peace for this country to heal because the problems are getting worse and worse. Catherine

I hate to say it but if it came down to either Palin or another four years of Obama I'd have to go with Obama. That's how bad I think Palin is. I can't stand the woman or her politics. I can't stand her hypocrisy. I can't stand the things she says and I hope to God it doesn't come down to that choice but if you think Obama is bad and you want her to be President then you ain't seen nothing yet as they say.

Examples of what a fact looks like:
In 1987 Palin received a bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism from University of Idaho.
Paling became the governor of Alaska in December 2006 and resigned in July 2009.
President Obama graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991.
Obama became a senator in January 2005 and resigned in November 2008
Of course this list could go on and on....

Examples of what an opinion looks like:
"Sarah Palin absolutely, unequivically does have more experience than obama and it has nothing to do with how I feel."
Paling became the governor of Alaska in December 2006 and resigned in July 2009 because she couldn't handle the job and could make more money peddling her book.

Your opinion of what experience a President should have does not make it a fact.

You can all breath a sigh of relief, this will be my last post about facts/opinions. If anyone can't tell the difference by now they never will.

Lucy...I am not interesed in the disagreement about experience, but I did find your last statement interesting....you mention that the problems are getting worse and worse, but yet you are thrilled with the passing of the Health Care bill, I am having a hard time understanding where you stand? I remember a year ago, you thought Obama walked on water, and would be the president to come into office and fix things (bring the troops home was top on your list). None of those things have happened, in your own words...things have gotten worse. Do you still believe in Obama, and feel he is going to save our Country? I am not being mean, I am really curious to see if your opinion of Obama has changed, or if it has remained the same as it was all those broken promises ago. I am not a democrat or a Republican, so I do not have ties to either party, so I am not an Obama or Palin..hater, I just want the person who can do the job in office, despite what party they are affiliated with! In my eyes...Obama is not that person.

Among Palin supporters, it's the truthiness that counts, not the facts.

Truthiness is what's helping them to double down on the crazy.

Honestly to all, at this point I have made a choice not to discuss politics no more, it does my health and mind and body no good. I refuse to argue back and forth, I know how I feel and how I feel is whats more important . As far as Obama I will say this while I voted for him and wanted him and still have some hope he will made good on his campaign promises. I am no fool, I will stop putting the blame on Bush or whoever, its in his hands now and he will have to deal with the problems. I not always happy with his decisions and ever will be some are good for me some are not, the one that stands out the most is the war, again I sincerely hope it ends and our troops come home safe. Will not discuss Obama , Bush, Palin or whomever ever again. Peace out. Catherine

It's too bad that those of us who are unhappy with the way things are going in this country can't get together and do something substantial about it. What we need now are jobs and some logical way to get the economy back on track. The out of control spending needs to stop and the people who have made government their lifelong career need to be kicked out and replaced with people who really have the well being of the people in mind instead of lining their own pockets.
I'm all for making the office of President a position of no profit meaning that if you want to be President you have to completely cut your ties with any business groups that you profit from, get rid of all your stocks (not just "sell" or transfer them to friends or family) and do whatever it takes to prove you are there for altruistic reasons. I know I know it will never happen at least in my lifetime but a girl can dream.
Think how different things would be if all our elected members of government were doing it for altruistic reasons!

That's easily disproved by searching on my name. I suppose you like the sound of it, though, and that must make it true.

No, apparently they aren't concerned with facts, it really scares me, but it explains how and why they voted for the inexperienced bozo we have now.

Yes, it goes along with the numerous other self professed promises of being done and it just doesn't happen. Time after time after time. No guessing about it, the posts are all there.

Next will come the usual pleadings of telling other posters what to and what not to post.

Her family must really unconditionally love her. Good for 'em.
