Asia pollution circles the globe in stratosphere: study

It's been said for years that 'the world hates America" for a number of reasons, one of them that we are supposedly the world's biggest polluters. I say "supposedly" because there are a number of ways you can measure that. We use more of some resources, but at the same time our emissions standards are actually higher than those in many other nations, so ... it's all a matter of what you are measuring to make your point. There is bias in every study and every assertion.

I am just curious to see if MyCouponer Americans are as likely to get angry at other nations for their eco-violations as the world supposedly gets at us for ours....

That's one reason I don't recycle plastics as much as I used to. They all get sent to Asia where they are "recycled" using methods that are not only illegal in this country but also as you point out they spread the pollution all around the world. A high percentage of California's pollution comes from Asia. I have nothing against conservation and reuse however "recycling" in this country consists largely of NIMBY garbage removal.
