I am SO aggravated. I have been online all afternoon filling out applications for various retail stores in our area.........there aren't many.

Did you know that if you receive government assistance it actually helps you get hired???

Ok, I get the idea..but I AM AT A DISADVANTAGE because we choose to suck it up and make it on what my husband makes until I can find a job!! It's NOT FAIR....gggrrrr.

Thank you! I'm excited. It's Family Dollar, but it's very close to home. I've only had one other full time job and I'm 43. Gotta start somewhere!

Doing the right thing isn't always the same as doing the easy thing.

You don't have to answer the questions on the app, but they make it clear that if you do answer and you do recieve assistance, it may help you get hired.

I've answered the questions when I've applied at our local K Mart and have never even gotten a call. But I see new people in there all the time.

The info is right in the application. I don't know if it would be on the site itself.
