Yard sale success

I didn't have one, but I went to a couple this week. Here's what I got:

Oak TV table
Unopened egg dying kit
Two boxes unopened Melitta coffee filters
A big bag of felt
Two small unopened cross-stitch kits
One unopened sheet of transfers
Bag of small vintage toy cars from France
Bag of small toys/charms for craft projects

Total cost: $2.50

Oh, and I redeemed my eRewards points last month for $15 in Borders Rewards. So, I combined it with a coupon and got 2 CDs for free.

Isn't it fun to find a bargain? I went to a subdivision sale on Saturday and found a piece that looks like carnival glass for $2 and two old perfume bottles for $2.
I was happy with my finds!

Cool finds, Crittles! I don't usually find good *old* stuff around here.

I did have another pretty good day today. Here's my haul this time:

- New Crayola Color Explosion kit
- New Crayola Color Wonder Finger paints
- Used, but pretty complete, Bake-a-Bug
- Indian in the Cupboard paperback book
- Mayflower plant
- Large Ziploc bag of embroidery floss
- Small magnetic picture frame
- 2 ceramic planters
- New childproof cupboard locks
- A little ceramic knick-knack thing (I don't know how else to describe it)
- Spool of rexlace
- 4 Small pyrex bowls

Total cost: $7.00

I may just go saling today. I just sold a bunch of crap myself on craigslist and at Play it Again Sports so I have a few dollars in my pocket.

Today's haul:

- New 500 piece jigsaw puzzle of an impressionist painting

- A weird plastic life-sized Star Wars articulating arm

- Gorgeous all-cotton artsy Japanese napkins (new). These were made for the Japanese market, the label was all Japanese. The folks having the sale were Asian - maybe Japanese. They told me they received them as a gift. I'm guessing someone sent them from Japan.

- Some stickers

- A huge bag full of cross-stitch supplies, including books, leaflets, fabric, floss, etc. There were also 3 very cool booklets on hardanger embroidery - two from 1970 and one that was "entered into the Library of Congress" in 1904, but I don't know if mine is actually that old.

Total cost: $3.75
