Those Swiffer solution bottles for the Wet Jet....

...does anyone know how to refill them?

I used almost a whole one on my kitchen/dining room/foyer floors. That's WAY too much. I like the smell of Pine Sol anyway, I thought someone might have mentioned they refill those Swiffer bottles?

I bought the Wet Jet, but I have those micro-fiber mop heads. (The mop I bought those with gives me too much trouble, and the mfg can't figure out the problem.)

TIA, if anyone knows.

Sure! I do it all the time. Just drill a 1/2 hole in the top, pour in the solution of your choice using a funnel, and cap it with a cork. Your local hardware store will have all different sizes of corks. For those of you using the new "Bona" mop (my new favorite toy for hardwood floors), you can do the same thing with the Bona bottles.

I refill my swiffer wet with a solution of Mr. Clean (the kind with febreeze in it), and water. I love the way it cleans, doesn't leave the floors sticky, and my clients love the smell. Enjoy!

Wooo hooo!!!

But doesn't the cork need to have a hole in it for the solution to come out?

Have you seen the Rubbermaid reveal mop? It use refillable bottles and washable pads. Has anyone tried it?

Yeah, I wasn't thinking about it technically being the bottom of the bottle - just that it's the "top" when you have the mop right side up. Glad you were able to figure out what I was talking about.

Regarding the Bona mop, if any of you guys are using that....you can actually take a flat head screw driver and flip off the cap of the Bona bottle to refill it and then snap it back on, but I do NOT know how long this will last before you ruin the bottle. I've refilled mine about 12 - 14 times now and the cap still seems to fit quite tightly. Buying the Bona refill is SO much cheaper than buying those bottles!

I haven't tried the rubbermaid mop, but would be interested in hearing any reviews from you guys!

Oh, one more thing...don't use straight pine sol to clean your floors (I'm sure you realize this, no offense intended), because it'll make your floors sticky. Dilute it with water before using it in the swiffer bottle. Same with Mr. Clean - if you use too much, the floors WILL be sticky.

Enjoy!
