Have you ever redecorated a popup camper?

Wonder if anyone here has any experience with redecorating a camper - especially a popup camper?

We just got one, and I'm really happy - it's in super shape, but it's 25 years old, and the limited decor reflects its age... somewhat bland, beige curtans, panel-looking interior cupboards, plaid couch covers...

I usually have a vision, but am short on practical, no-sew ways to implement my ideas! Any light-weight, travel-friendly decorations that I should consider? How about the outside? Is there anything that is as "must" for the inexperienced popup camper family?

We have one from the 70s that has orange and plaid inside but I never thought about redecorating it. I'm curious to see what people say. I kind of like it. It's retro and reminds me of my younger days.

I wouldn't think of it as redecorating as I would refurbish. Refurbish is it's worn out and no longer functional. Personally, I wouldn't change anything if it's not worn out. Unless you sew or have experience in recovering, the cushions would have to be taken to an upholstery shop.

I'm very excited! We opened up our tent trailer and it was ruined from the roof leaking. Oh no! I put a sign on it For Sale $200 and in less than an hour the man up the street came by and bought it from us for hunting season. He's going to clean it up which will be a lot of work as the canvas was totally ruined. He saw it fully open and smelled it and all the damage was visible. Meanwhile my husband was looking at craigslist and a man posted a newer one a 1987 Coleman Palomino. He was asking $800. We went and checked it out and everything works unlike the old one. His wife is about to deliver their third child so he wanted to sell it as they won't be using it anymore. I offered him $600 and he said he would take $550 as we'd have to put new tags on it right away. I am very happy and excited and can't wait for next weekend to put all my stuff in it.
It doesn't have the orange laminate either it's all woodwork so it's nicer too.
It all happened so fast I thought it was a dream this morning. Now we can't wait to go camping.

Sounds like a great deal you got with the camper. Please post a picture of it so we can see.

Congratulations on your find!
