I am thinking about having this done but have absolutely no experience and know very little about it. I've been told all it does is stir up the crud, but others say it's beneficial.

When I see the ads, one touts a camera so you can see inside the ducts. I would be interested in input to know if it's worth the $, or a waste.

Yeah, I've heard the same stuff: some contractors say it's supposed to be a good idea to do this every few years and other contractors have told me it's not necessary to ever do it.

I was wondering about this too. I have a mobile home and have ducts that would have to be cleaned from the basement I think. I have never had it done. I tried to take vents off and use the suction end from the sweeper, but nothing seems to come out and vents always look clean when I look in. I do have allergies, so that made me wonder if it was worth it or a waste of money. In these days, we have to watch every penny going out.
