games on face book

Does it bother you when half the people on facebook bug you for game pieces? I don't play the games on there but constantly get this type of posts. Yes I do delete these friends after a while.

It makes me reflect further on our priorities. These are the same people busy telling you how busy they are being busy ad nauseum. I also see the more they play these online games/spend time on the puter, the less social skills they have and the more self perceived hectic their life becomes.

I am sure you realize too, they are on all hours of the day and night and then wonder why they are exhausted, don't have things done, don't pay attention to their kids, can't make coffee at home, "have" to go through Starbucks, spend too much money there and elsewhere and then cry how they don't have any money. OH and it's not ( of course ) their fault. It rolls over into traffic and impatience with their fellow drivers being in their way, not driving fast enough, etc and yet they can't think to leave home perhaps 5 minutes earlier. Then too, it's their given right now to answer their cell phone every single time it rings regardless of if they are being paid to work, impeding the line at the store, driving, etc.

I know I am lumping much together, but you get the idea. This is the era of nothing is my fault and I expect everything ( give me game pieces ).

I have paid attention and it would make for quite an interesting study in our society of the shfits in our thought process, social interation, priorities, and future generations. I don't think it's a good path for us to be headed down.

No one asks me for game pieces. I don't play those games and apparently, neither do my fb friends.

No, they don't bug me. I simply use the "hide" feature to hide all types of requests from the games I don't play (I only play poker...it's my "break time" treat). It bothered me for awhile since it was "clogging" up my newsfeed but once I learned how to "hide" the games, you don't see them...all's good.

Agree. On the right side of a post there's a HIDE, click that and another box will come up with do you want to HIDE or cancel. Click HIDE and you will not see any of that particular game request again.

A very few did But I told them I was not interested at all in playing any of those f=games and sincerely wish there was another fb for just those games they take up alot of space. I truly just love fb to look at photos and post photos I am always proud to post pictures of my family and love to view my friends and familys photos. As fas as the games go I honestly would never ever have the time to play those games. On the flip side more people do have the time to play and if they enjoy it more power to them life is way too short.. peace. Catherine

I don't consider it "bugging me". I play some of the games and so do my friends. It's entertaining and like everything in life should be done in moderation. To say that all who play FB games have something wrong with them or are losing social skills is a generalization that is mostly untrue. I, for one, as well as many of my friends, work, have a social life, take care of family and home, exercise, volunteer, etc.
Millions of people play these games and they're not all social misfits who waste hours at the computer.
I play Pet Society, Scrabble, Farkle, and Family Feud. They're fun and help my brain exercise just like the crossword puzzles and book reading I do.

I love FB and am on several times a day, I usually have it up (like now) when I am on other sites and just check back periodically. I do not play any of the games, because I really don't have the time. I do get a kick out of the Farmville posts, because we live in a "farming/ranching area" and alot of people around here have REAL cattle ranches, farms, gardens, etc. and it's my other friends that don't live around here that play Farmville mostly. The people from around here are really farming and I'll read a game post and I'll be thinking "so and so did that in real life today" or something like that, it's just too funny to me for some reason.

Anna I agree 100 percent with all you said, its a matter of choice, whether you like it or not and have much time you spend on the game. Again choice for me and again would never have the time although I do spend alot of time looking at the photos so I assume its the same in a way.. Peace always.. Catherine

very simple, hide them. not everyone likes the same things but you will continue to see those posts otherwise because they are posting for their other friends that do play. so you will continue to see the posts unless you take the step to hide the posts. personally I play for a month or so and then wont for a few months. mostly I play quilt solitaire and not post my scores
