No, not the kind that ruin your clothes. The pretty and unusual kind. We've had several weeks worth of visits from what most people call Hummingbird Moths. Fascinating creatures. We had them when I lived in Massachusetts too but the ones in Florida grow to an amazing size.

This is a pink-spotted hawk moth and it had a wing span of nearly 5 inches. Its proboscis was as long, if not longer.



Then the past couple of nights we've had several white-lined sphinx moths. Their coloring is beautiful.

Btw my daughter Caitlin is starting college end of August she is going to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York City as a photograhpy major I truly must get her to put some of her work here. She truly took some wonderful photos from your home state while on vacation in Key Largo and Islamaroda . I must admit the sunsets are amazing... peace. Catherine

My parents are vacationing in Florida right now.My 79 year old dad has been hitting up all the rollercoasters! LOL! I'm so happy for them that they are still able to enjoy life at its fullest.
