It was only about 10 feet away. Then it turned around and grinned at me.



I also saw a few boars.



I was in my car when I took that. I'll take my chances with gators but not those wild pigs!

A 4 inch long golden silk spider.



With my cell phone for sizing.



And along with many other birds, a great blue heron.

Mine is about 10 years old and they don't make that type any more. I was starting to have a lot of problems with it. Believe it or not, it uses floppies and some times the camera wouldn't be able to read them. I finally broke down and got a Nikon P100. Those photos were taken with that. I don't love it like I did the Sony but it's OK. If I was more ambitious, I would have gotten a DSLR. I just hate the thoughts of having to read a novel to learn how to use a camera. Not to mention you need different lenses and a tripod sometimes. No thanks.

They can be but, like most animals including that gator, they're more afraid of us than we are of them. The reason I stayed in the car is those little piggies can move really, really fast!
