Oh I'd love to! One thing that sticks in my mind, I was 18 and working where the company gave me a turkey for Thanksgiving. I brought it home and said 'here, you can fix this for the holiday' to which she replied 'no, YOU fix it. It's easy, you've watched me for years.' She's right, I did. I got the little goody sack out but I had no idea the breast from the bottom of the bird. So I baked it upside down - all night. The next morning, we got it out and she said "Cathy Janene, you dumbhead - you baked it upside down..." It was falling apart, she had to use tongs to get the meat out. She strained the bones so we could make gravy because nothing in that pan resembled a turkey. But when she tasted the white meat, it just melted in your mouth it was so tender. I'll never forget, she said "this is the best white meat I've ever had. You did it a$$backwards, but you pulled it off." That has become the best way to fix turkey that it even made it to the newspaper in 2005, they get requests for it to this day. I wish she knew about that. She always loved the food section and if she knew I was featured, she'd be so proud. I remember getting the newspaper that morning, there I was on the front page and I kept thinking she should be here. A proud moment still, but I miss sharing things with her.
