Question What Color is Your Kitchen?

I'm trying to decide what color to paint my kitchen. Right now it's white walls, white cabinets and dark green countertops. I'll be painting the sun room next to it also, which is divided by a bar and bar stools.

I'm wondering what color would go well with the countertops. I was thinking something in the terra cotta color scheme, something lighter in the kitchen and then another color in the sun room (that's where our computer, washing machine/dryer is.

Any ideas? It's a large kitchen too.

Something light. Apricot, peach, or a very light green with grey tones. Personally, I would go with the green/grey if the room has good light. Then, the laundry room in a similar color, but not the exact same.

Have fun. The good news it is only paint. Do a few walls and live with it for a while before making a final decision.

I love a yellow kitchen! But ours is white I hate it I need to paint it. The cupboards are even painted white.

I grew up in a house that always had a shade of yellow for the kitchen and it was always bright and cheery.

I like earthy colors and hate yellows, peaches, blues, etc. I can't really tell you because I dopn't know what your taste is. What kinds of colors do you like?

What is your kitchen decor? maybe that would help with suggestions. My kitchen is white with oak cabinets and sand colored counter tops, my kitchen has a gingerbread theme so with the gingerbread men all around, it looks more colorful then it sounds. If I was able to paint my kitchen I would probably do it in a dark color like hunter green or a deep red. I remember when I was looking to move, one apartment I went into had a red kitchen and dining room and to me it looked different but nice.

My kitchen is white cabinets, white walls, dark hunter green countertops. This is the last room I have to paint. The rest of my house is earthy tones ... bedroom is dark brown walls with beige/rust bedspread. Living room is tan color walls/black leather couch/deep red throws, pillows. Guest bedroom is light green with browns, third bedroom is my son's room which he still has a dark blue (that will change when he moves out).

So my last room is this huge kitchen. It's a large country kitchen. I was thinking a terra cotta look.. light peach/orange and then some sort of orange/rust in the sunroom/computer room. These rooms have big windows and lots of sun. But then I look at the colors and get all confused.

Thanks for suggestions!

How about something in the plum or burgundy family?

I hadn't thought of that. It would go with the rest of the house. I haven't even thought about that color scheme. Thanks. I'll check it out.
