Zarah Baker, the missing girl from NC

I was just reading this horrible story. Does anyone else besides me think that the father knows what happened to his daughter, but he just doesn't want to say anything. I don't understand how he lived in the same house and probably witnessed the abuse his wife was causing his daughter and did nothing about it. I wasn't there, so maybe he did do something, but IMO he didn't do enough. If it were me and my new husband was locking MY chid in his/her room with the exception of 5 min a day or beating my child, I would have called the police or child protection myself, even if it meant child protection taking my child from me to protect him/her from the monster I was married to. I just hope whatever happened to this poor little girl that she didn't suffer too long.

I think he had to know. I thought I heard that he said he had seen her the day before or something. Now they are saying she's been missing for a month. So he obviously lied if he said he saw her the day before. I think it sounds really fishy....I feel bad for her, too. She had survived cancer to have to have this happen to her.

She was homeschooled---or at least she was kept home ---so there would not be other people in the area to whom she could talk to about what was going on at home. The isolation of the child is very bad.. A child like that should not be home schooled because there would so many benefits available to her with her disabilities.

I can't stop thinking about that little girl and what her short life was like. It is heart-breaking to think about what that beautifuil little girl endured between her illness and physical disabilities and abuse - as far as I am concerned it was at the hands of both parents since the father turned a blind eye to it. The police do not belieive that he doesn't know what happened to her, and I don't either.

Friday when I went to work, they were searching the mill hill again. thats about 4 miles from my home. This whole story breaks my heart. The parents both are lying and I they now say that the last time she was seen was sept 25th ( by someone besides her lying step mom and peice of crap dad). These people moved ALOT.. Like 8 times in 9 months.
I cant help but wonder why the step mom decided to report her missing? SHe has apparently been gone for some time now before she was reported missing. Just wondering who began to ask questions about her whereabouts that made the step witch to decide to report her missing? Someone HAD to start asking questions about her.

They have now announced that the bone fragments that they have found scattered all over a large area of 2 counties are those of zarah. Her evil step mother finally showed the police places to look for her body parts. Now she thinks she should get out of jail for assisting the police with finding this poor little girls parts buried all over the place. If she did get out of jail, she better hide cause there is alot of people who want to" talk" with her.

I have been following this on Nancy Grace's show and it is horrorfying and discusting what has happened to this child.
Last night they said the stepmother had gone to a lawyer with her story and they didn't believe her (this was a friday)and contacted her (monday)saying they wanted proof and she led them to a bone. Both she and the lawyers went to the police with the info. This is when she was first reported missing. They sort of made it sound like the step mother was in jail for her own protection.
My heart is broken over the whole case.

well, it just keeps getting weirder! Seems step mom was married before she met zarah's dad online and married him. They have been married for something like 4-5 yrs. She DIVORCED the first husband last yr! So now they are cking into her being married to 2 men at the same time. She also told everyone that her first husband, who happened to live beside them at one of the many many places they lived, he was her BROTHER not her husband. But I guess it would have been really hard to explain why she was married to 2 different men at the same time.
