Remember when?

Remember when .....

ALL the new retail websites (and there were new ones with offers every day!) had 20 off 20 dollar deals for new customers?

You had visits from the mailman, UPS and Fedex- all in the same day?

You were able to do Christmas for the family for pennies?

Your bathroom cabinets stayed stocked due to all the drugstore.com deals?

Your pantry was full of Dunkin Donuts coffee?

You were learning how to creatively recycle stuff from our very own Sammy aka Heather?

You were putting together a binder with Lwmsavon (I actually 'know' where she is now, teaching couponing to a whole new group of folks!).

You were ordering coupons from Glenda (or others) for pphf?

Sigh.

Those were the good ol' days, weren't they?

Back then I was not a memeber because everyting was so busy that I was afraid to post. Seems kind of silly now. lol
My favorite things were,
Doing test drives for drugstore. com
Those free Asic (sp?) tennis shoes
How about those Idolls with all their clothes.
I still have a butcher knife I love that I got free somewhere.
Earning gift cards about every 4 days from Freeride.
Free cat food.
I sure miss those days.

Besides everything you just mentioned it's getting harder to get free magazine subscriptions when they used to give them away all the time.

I miss having a "cheap" but "rich" Christmas!

Remember all the Free Board Games from Amazon.com?
Remember all the Free Stuff (after coupons) Drugstore.com?
Remember signing up for free stuff and actually getting it?

Remember when you could stay up till 3 or 4 in the morning on Mycoupons and no matter what you couldn't keep up with all the new posts?

I would almost hate to go to bed at night for fear of missing a good deal, lol. We got so much free stuff and stuff for just a few pennies, with all the 10 off and 20 off internet coupons and all the free full size samples. The rewards programs, there were so many of them and they actually paid and you could earn points quickly! It was a fun few years while it lasted!

I still have my notebook from 1998 ( I think, could be '99) where I actually MADE money during Christmas. $150 MCI checks, $20 off $20 here and there.Everyone in our family received generous gifts. My friend (who goes Black Friday shopping with me every year) and I still talk about those days......
