Question Roomba?

My brother gave me a red roomba a couple yrs ago---it worked great......for awhile. Then it died. Threw it out.
Its time i break down & buy another. Please tell me about yours. I can get the red 400 model for $129 or the next one up (the 440) for $199. We have 2 shedding dogs & 2 shedding cats. Is it worth the extra $70 for the upgrade---or will they both eventually choke out? What is YOUR opinion? do you love yours??

THaNKS!!

no, my neighbor and I both got rid of ours. Even after replacing the batteries, they died. Good idea of a vacuum, but not worth the headache and money in the long run.

I got one at a yard sale for $3 because "it doesn't work sometimes". I've only had a problem with it one time.

Now I want a scooba

I can't really give you any advise about which one to buy. My 400 model does a pretty good job of picking up dog hair
(I have a cat and 2 dogs ...one of which is a Burnese Mountain dog...lots and lots of long hair every day.)

It started to run and would just stop....I'd push the button and it would run a few more minutes and stop again. After several trys, I gave up and plugged it back in. I used it several days later and it worked like a charm. That's the only problem I've had with it.

DH got me one for Christmas one year and I returned it after a couple of days. I hated it! All it did was bump into every stick of furniture and spin around stuck.

Hated it.

So...I just ran the roomba and thought of a couple more things. I call *her* Alice...you know the maid on the Brady Bunch? Also, I talk to Alice...tell her that she's doing a good job...or that she missed a spot. Sometimes, I *walk* her to a certain area that she's missed. Overall, we get along fine. I'm going to keep her around.
