Well for most who know my story is that my mom quit cigarette smoking it made one month this past thursday. She had been suffering with puemonia and was having some really bad coughing spells. She was doing her breathing treatments. I was over at the house when this occured and I literally got so upset and said this damn cigarettes are going to kill you, and said you have to stop I am going to 7-11 and buy you the E-cigarette omg it worked . However her voice has become really hoarse and she had been complaining the last several weeks about 6 weeks that she feels something in her throat.About 8 years ago my mom did have a tumor removed from her throat it was not cancerous thanks to god. However she has seen 2 throat doctors and both have said they have found 3 very very tiny growths. One measures 7 mm and the 2 others are 3 mm each. They also said she has plaque build-up on her voice box and throat from smoking. She is going to a throat cancer doctor for a biospy to see if the growths are cancerous. I only sincerely hope and pray they are not will update. Peace. Catherine

Thanks so far wonderful dear friends here on the cafe for my mom yes I am sooooooo happy she quit this is the best thing for her healthwise, her breathing was starting to become too much trouble and the breathing treatments. As far as what is reallly going on they moved up the appointment to this wednesday so I will know more and post more thanks again for all your concern for my mom I most sincerely appreciate the kind words.. Really good news the small growths are not cancerous thanks to god, however they do need to be watched she has to go back to that doctor in 8 weeks. They also told her the plaque build up can now be done under a local in the doctors office and cleaned away which has to be done. She was also feeling very tired and they did a test and said her thyroid gland in under active and that is why she is so tired , so she will be starting medication for that as well. The doctors told her she is very lucky that she quit and also the hoarse voice is one of the side effects of her quitting smoking I am so happy. This will hopefully save off the time of the emphyshema and also possible copd complications. Today makes 5 weeks and no cigarettes I am overjoyed. Thanks to all for their well wishes and will post any updates right now they have her for next friday to remove the plaque from the throat. Peace to all. Catherine
