Wink Did anyone here take advantage of any black friday super sale days

Not me, I just cannot get up that early, perhaps if my children were little again , again perhaps, I also dearly dread those malls too many people I get so tired and feel like even though I might buy a few things, its seems like it took me forever just to get into the stores and stand on line and pay for those few things. So please share any goodies or great deals you were able to get. Thanks so much. Catherine

I was up early(as always) for the gym, but I did take my daughter to the mall first, as she wanted to go.

I did not get anything. There was nothing I wanted, and my shopping has been finished(all online). I got some great online deals Thanksgiving day and that was just extra gifts that I could not pass by(like a Wii for me, that I bought just to play the new Michael Jackson game...lol).

I was at Sears for the $600 washer/dryer for my mom & dad. I was number 4 of 4. If was 5 mins. later I would have missed out. My 2 boys came with me. I took them to Gamestop and they were able to get what they wanted also.

My DH and I went. We had a blast. We went to Target at 4:00 and got a video chair ($39) for DS. Then we went to WalMart and got 2 Blue-ray players for $69 each, a few movies (ranging from $1.99-$5), some pjs for the families we've adopted for Christmas ($5 per set) and a 42 inch LCD TV for our lakehouse ($478 because I got in the wrong line - meant to get in the line that had them for $398 lol). Next was Home Depot and Lowes where we picked up some tool sets (ranging from $5-$10), a tool box ($8), and a 6 ft. ladder ($19). Last stop was Conn's, which was great! We got a 55 inch LED 3D TV for our living room for $1499. DH was SO excited! He's wanted an LED for about a year, but we just couldn't justify the price since we have a 50 inch plasma that's only 2 years old. However, this was a bargain and came with 4 3D glasses and a 3D Blue-ray player. So, there you have it. This was the first year for my DH to go Black Friday shopping and he couldn't believe it. He was laughing the majority of the time. My favorite purchase of the day? The $19 ladder. Ours was wooden and a bit rickety, so it was great to finally be able to throw it away. Anybody else get some great deals??

I went two years ago (Walmart) and I swore to God that if I managed to get out of there with all my body parts attached, I'd never go again! It was touch and go for a while, but managed to make it out in one piece. LOL
So, I'm holding true to my promise! I did not go, and unless they are giving away MONEY, I doubt I will ever go again. (especially Walmart...)

Wink

Thanks ladies so far for all your input, sincerely appreciate it. I am so glad I do not have little ones so that I do not have to be at the stores to early to get the newest and hottest toys around, however I realize all too soon, hopefully with the grace of God grandchildren will follow and there you will find me and my husband doing shopping , just not that early I am the night owl I cannot do and all the crowds. How lovely it would be if only a wish would come true to have the entire mall totally empty all to yourself and to shop, sweet dreams right???. Catherine

I ordered my BF deal on line from Sears.com (the tool box set for $99), and got an extra $5 off to boot. I was happy. Got to sleep in and still got the deal.

I stopped doing the early morning wait in line deals about 7 or 8 years ago. I don't like the crowds, pushing, shoving, cutting in line, saving a spot for your 97 cousins, etc. Took the fun out of it. Not to mention having to wait in those lines to get in AND get out. No thank you.

I do know some people who go as "tradition". Good for them.

LMAO!!! I don't think I have ever done BF deals at Wal-mart. I like hearing of other's deals, tho I don't go out myself. I wait until later in the day and go out. If it's there , it's there, if not, oh well...no biggy!!

I didn't look through many ad's and didn't see anything I HAD to have. I went to Target to get a few things for my mom. I went around 2 after work and it was trashed. I hate shopping on Black Friday....no I didn't buy anything for Christmas.

I absolutely love Black Friday but won't have my Christmas spending money until December 15 so I can only hope that there will be some great sales right before Christmas.
