Snow

We are having our first big snow of the winter. It's nothing compared to what some of you are getting but it's fun for us!
I went on one of my walks and am getting ready for another one. It's nice big flakes coming down and I'm not sure if they'll stick it's still 36.

It's serious to me when the DirectTV dish accumulates snow and I can only watch videos or what I have DVRed. lol

I feel bad for the people stuck on the subway in NYC all night and the people who couldn't get an ambulance to their homes.

What is the weather at your house?

Today it was unseasonably warm, in the 60's, tomorrow supposed to be in the mid 70's, before the bottom drops out and Sunday it's supposed to be 11 degrees. Hopefully it won't snow, I hate snow and so far we haven't had any this winter, just cold weather.

I live in Maryland right next to DC. When all the snow came to the East Coast last weekend, it missed us completely (the middle part of the state). NYC and places north and south of us got slammed and we got a dusting. The airports in the area were fine until the backups came. We are suppose to have 60 degrees today.

We got 14" in the storm that crippled NYC. Around here, that isn't very unusual. You're stuck in the house for a day, unless you're foolhardy. The plows have the roads cleared by the next morning. We got a snowblower last year, so it wasn't too bad clearing out the driveway.

It's another gloomy day in the St. Louis area. We had maybe three inches of snow on Christmas Eve and I've been waiting for it to melt ever since. We've had some warmer days, but evidently not enough to rid us of the leftover snow. Yesterday it was foggy and kind of pretty out. I love the fog during the day, as long as it's not impeding visibility on the roads too much. I've always preferred having cold weather to hot, but as I get older, I think that may be changing somewhat.

Ditto here. The record high today is 68 and we're supposed to get to 66. It is unbelievably windy today (of course it's trash day after Christmas and people don't appear to even make an effort to secure their trash - what a mess.) Tomorrow the temp is supposed to start dropping and be 14 by midnight tomorrow night and we're supposed to have snow with very little accumulation.

Were you guys plowed? (LOL you know what I mean!)? I saw so much news footage showing all the streets that didn't get done and heard some horror stories about people dying because the ambulance couldn't get through.

Yes, we got plowed . We didn't have any problems. I'm in the Boston area - they're usually pretty good about getting it under control quickly.
