What the???

My SIL says her crocus is already starting to bloom. What the??? It's still freezing! One of our rosebushes never stopped growing new blooms all winter so we haven't cut it back yet.

All this and a summer that was too short and cold for tomatoes. Go figure!

When I lived in MA it was pretty common to see the crocuses coming up by this time of the year, especially on the east facing side of the house. Blooming? Usually not till the end of February.

One of the weirdest things I saw with flowers was the year back in the 70's that we had forsythia in bloom in December.

Now that I'm in Florida, we see flowers in bloom all year long. In fact there's a bush out in the backyard that only has flowers in the winter.

I am in Massachusetts. Can't give you a crocus report as we currently have two feet of snow blanketing our area. Hope the crocus hasn't sprouted; I doubt they will fare well. It will be cold cold this upcoming week and more snow predicted Tuesday into Wednesday.
