Exclamation Valentine's Plans???

What do you do for Valentine's Day?? This year it falls on a Monday, which I'm sure displeases businesses.....especially restaurants..

We don't usually go out ON Valentine's Day, since the crowds do not make it very pleasurable to eat a meal....I always feel so rushed. Not sure what we'll do this year.....give me some ideas

Always go out to dinner no matter the day, Valentines day only comes once a year, just like our birthdays and they do not always fall on a good day. For us it is always dinner, he gets all the chocolate, I hate chocolate, I get the yellow roses and a piece of Jewelry and then there are the cards, we also exhange gifts with our children for they are from the love shared between me and my wonderful husband Tommy. Cannot believe it will be 25 years married the best is yet to be, wish Valentines day came 2 times a year. So to Aia I say go out to dinner, if you feel it will be too crowded, then how about cooking dinner together, get some candles, some nice music and just plain enjoy the love of your life.......Catherine

This is the first V Day that I'm single. I think me and the kidlings will get a Cold Stone Cake or maybe just get strawberries and chocolate. I'lll ask them what they want to eat and make them their favorite dinner. Yum looks like Cold Stone has this cake again this year, so maybe get this

Probably get each of them a little box of chocolate, I usually get them those $1 Whitman or RS boxes, a card and a small toy.

If I somehow come into some big $$ by then, I'm going to buy myself these, and yes in red. All my shoes are brown. My oldest dd got me the prettiest dress that is mostly black, has some grey. I think these would be so cute with it.

Honestly for me it's just another day. Even when I was with someone I never got anything. I don't plan on doing anything special that day and not giving anyone anything, just can't afford to.

Nothing....I am single and VERY happy to be so. I never did nuy into the retail Valentines day crap, though. I don't like eating out, even when it's not over crowded. I like home cooked food. The most I ever did was make a sweet treat and special meal for my kiddos. I will do that this year for the one that is still at home.

hmmmm....
I don't know! First Valentine's w/ my SO.
He hasn't mentioned any special plans.
Of course, I'm just happy to be with him--don't need much else. Got him, got my boys. They all are the loves of my life.

LOL Catherine. If Eddie shows up I'll bake him an apple pie. And maybe even home made ice cream.

Afrruything you will only make Eddie Vedder a cake and some icecream, I was thinking having him sing you some of your favorite songs he has made , sounds lovely. In the end all that really matters is what makes you happy and love the one you with and whatever your plans may be, enjoy them to the fullest. That is why we give roses and cards to our children as well, for they are the greatest loves of our lives, made from our love. Now go and bake that cake and enjoy .Catherine.

We don't go out on Valentine's Day because all the restaurants raise the prices for that day for meals. This is something that all savings sites and savvy savers know! In years past we have had our Valentine's Dinner in the week of the holiday. I make a special dinner and dessert every year and depending if we don't have to work that day (I won't know until the Friday before) we go somewhere to the coast or something.
We like to do something to celebrate our love and the many years we've been together.
