Our retired military are not getting a Cost Of Living Allowance raise this year, but, let's give another country a billion dollars. Yeah, that sounds about right.......

Why would the United States be involved in financially supporting the Egyptian Military? Makes no sense unless it has something to do with oil.

Where is the article or story that verifies this. I am a news junkie who monitors everything from NPR to mainstream to FOX. I was working all day yesterday and did not see or hear this anywhere but here.

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

I hadn't heard this, but my guess is that if it is true it has to do with maintaining stability there.

Israel's future is really in peril if yet another Middle Eastern neighbor of theirs is taken over by a nation with Muslim extremism at the helm.

We do need oil from that region. That's just an economic reality.

But I think the reasons for any tactics we employ there are much, much deeper than simply 'oil'.

I caught a few pieces on the news. Remember, the Suez Canal is there, and if ships can't get thru the Suez, it adds about 6,000 miles (and $$$) to the transport.

Egypt refines a lot of oil.
