I thought since I have asked for prayers for my friend Patrick in the past, that I would let you all know that he passed away yesterday after a battle with throat cancer. Patrick was one of the ironworkers that responded to ground zero on 9/11
Then yesterday I also found out that my old neighbor's 17 year old son was shot and killed just two blocks away from his house and my former house. He and his brother always use to come over and play with my kids. I had just recently talked to him at the mall and he was still the very polite kid that I remember.

so today please hug your children tighter and remember to tell everyone you care about that you love them because you never know what can happen.

Maryann I am very sorry for your loss. Two horrendous tragedies at once makes the heart heavy. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes we just go along and it takes something like this to appreciate everything and everyone.
