Here is the new policy:

Thanks for posting! I need to print that our and carry it with me, lol. I don't know how many times I have been told "we can't take that coupon" because it was more than the price of the merchandise.

Yes Penny that is something new. As many of you know I detested Wal Mart for many years. Now my best friend works there and has for about a year and a half. I shop there now to support her. I, along with many other who post here, have had troubles redeeming coupons there. I hope this will clear up some of the confusion. What was frustrating to me is that WalMart acts like they're giving the money from the coupons from their own pocket when we all know that they redeem them and get their money back.

I am not a Walmart fan either, and it used to be you could not get a copy (because there wasn't one). Eventually there was and it seems to me the stark difference between it and what is posted here is they now accept "catalinas" from other stores.

For anyone who pursues this, I doubt it goes easy. I would have a printed copy of the policy and be prepared for the process to be time consuming. Let us know how it goes and how you are treated, then maybe I will find my way back there once in a while too.

Walmart has been accepting competitor's coupons for about 2 months now. I haven't had any problems taking Walgreens coupons to Walmart. Just because the Walmart store in your town/neighborhood isn't the best store to shop at doesn't mean that my local Walmart isn't awesome.

While I think most of the new policy is awesome & long time coming on their part, I am not sure how I like the competitor's coupons part of it. I am thinking of it from the point of view of Walgreen's and similar places. They as in Walgreen's do the sales with the Register Rewards to get people into their stores and with the thought that they will then spend the Register Rewards in their stores. If a LOT of the Register Rewards start being used elsewhere, it may cause them to "curb" their program in some way. Hope my rambling made sense.

This coupon policy means nothing to me.It's still up to the store manager or supervisor what they will and won't except.Essentially each store is allowed to have their own rules reguardless of the coupon policy and most stores have their own policies.
