It's People Like This That Ruin It For Everyone

Was coupon fraud shown on TLC's Extreme Couponing? | Jill Cataldo

Extreme coupon fraud. I hope somehow the manufacturers see this and at least take her to civil, if not criminal, court.

According to the article, they're revamping things to prevent fraudulent use of "family codes." I suspect this is more efficient than taking scofflaws to court.

And, truth be told, there were people who posted on mc scamming as well. They told all kinds of things that they could do and justified every bit. So often, when people read something, many tend to believe it.

Just because "it works" or the "cashier allowed it" doesn't make it right. The responsibility starts with the coupon user.

I can't imagine having the nerve to use coupons that way...let alone on TV. Did she really think no one would catch it?

I hope so, too. Fraud is fraud -- and it hurts everybody.

I think that the show should show people who have been couponing correctly for many years. What I have seen so far are people who empty the shelves (so noone else can get the deal) and then keeping it in their basements, etc and in some cases not using the item. How can a single woman eat 50 bags of chips before they expire? Was the man with the 1,000 tubes of toothpaste donating them to the troops? That was not clear.

How did they get diapers, TP and paper towels for free?

I totally agree.
