Yeah... He started out 'hacked". Then he started saying "pranked". I think if a congressman has anything hacked it could very well be a federal offense. He doesn't want anyone finding the IP it originated from, so he is downplaying the seriousness of it. The telling thing to me is that he apparently tweeted just before and after that went out. Looks like he was definitely on Twitter at the time it happened... |

It seems most politicians have problems keeping their weiner under control.

Poor Anthony has nothing to blame but his wandering weiner. I hope that beautiful wife of his (and every woman who has supported a spouse during their rise to power and been screwed) leaves him and takes the bulk of the cash as she goes. It saddens me to know Elizabeth Edwards didn't live to watch her scumball husband fall.I must say -- I am glad his wife wasn't standing behind him as he made his admission. Nothing pisses me off more than a male in power saying how they are "so sorry" with their wife in the background. |

He is a legend in his own mind. Doesn't think he should deprive the ladies of a gander at his studly (?) assets and the public of his superior intellect and leadership skills. He thinks the public will forgive and forget. He is done-for and doesn't get it at all. BTW, Nancy Pelosi demands an ethics investigation. |

Schwarzenegger makes me sick too.

Why do people think it's ok to disrespect their spouse by cheating? Why do people think it's ok to cheat, period?? Why has lying/cheating become such an accepted character trait in politicians & celebrities?

Excellent questions Marilyn, all I can simply say is that most people who are in the limlight , honestly think they are above the law , and they think they are special , so therefore, they can come and go as they please to fullfill their sick needs. With Arnold and Maria I never fully believed in their marriage, he is so full of himself, why do these woman think it is acceptable and they take their cheating spouses back, I remember very well all the trouble with Clinton and Monica and how he came on national television and lied about it all, plain disgusting, however I am no fool, through the years I am sure many presidents cheated left and right. Why because they are the POTUS, THEY ARE ALLOWED NOT NO WAY NO HOW. Same for all the movie stars and right now to all of us everyday people, its plain wrong, out and out wrong...Sincerely sorry to any woman or man who must endure the heartache of a cheating spouse..... Peace and blessings to all... Catherine

It is interesting that every bad actor in the political arena of internet exposure is a man. Maybe I've been sleeping, but have we had any female politicians exposing themselves online? Certainly, women as a group comprise a smaller proportion of public figures then men, but still, where are our females? Sarah Palin exposes her ignorance about Paul Revere ringin' the bell and firin' the gun, but I don't think that she is exposin' her boobs on Twitter. Michelle Bachmann, similarly delusional, but I don't think she is flashin' on the internets.

However, in my observations-- a female who is caught cheating suffers more social consequences than her male counterpart when it becomes public knowledge. If Barbara Boxer's boobs were the subject of the week, she would be out the door with no forwarding address. |

New York Times is reporting that Weiner's wife is pregnant, pretty early in pregnancy. edited to add: Since he considers himself a master of public relations, I think he had this information leaked now because he hopes the American public and press will have more respect for his wife than he does and back off the story. Now---he's going to take a Leave of Absence and seek treatment! Treatment for WHAT?? Oh, wait--he's probably a sex addict (insert eye roll here). I am so very tired of that excuse!
