Sadly we truly live in a very sick world. My heart aches and always will as a mom , to any child whom is a victum of any form of child abuse, rape, murder. Also of course for sex offenders who stalk little children and children of all ages. This piece of information would bring me to tears as well......Only people for the children, who sadly are affected every 3 seconds .......Catherine What I mean't to write was for these sex offenders who stalk little children, my heart goes out to the little children not the sex offerders.

Not sure what you are saying in your third sentence Catherine. Are you saying your heart aches for the offenders?

They described what I was thinking as I read the article BUT in a more polite manner. I know firsthand the damage that sexual abuse can do to a child AND cannot begin to fathom that ANYONE would condone what these "adults" do to children.

And as far as the comment from Catherine, I took it the same way as you took it, momrajum. And if her heart aches for these monsters, she needs to do a lot of soul searching.

Perhaps if I moved a few words around.......NOPE......Not getting in on this one.

Most likely, it's not her fault because she didn't pay for her education, writes emotionally, can't be bothered to check before she posts, these things aren't important, and everyone except her is causing trouble.

If ill didn't mean it the way it reads, THIS absolutely should show her once and for all how she doesn't present herself well and that her thoughts aren't adequately conveyed.

It's all ok in today's world. Have a drug problem? We'll consider it a disability and help you become protected under the ADA. Alcohol? No problem, pretty much the same thing.

Pregnant and (take your pick) a minor, unmarried, unable to support yourself, etc and it's ok, we'll take care of you and even afterward with free child care, wic, health, headstart, etc.

Now this issue - how IS it that people who make bad decisions are coddled? Why are we on tiptoes around them? It is what it is and there can be no sugar coating.

You stated that your heart aches for any child that is a victim of any form of child abuse AND you added the sex offenders to that with the "also" part of your statement.

They are concerned about the "feelings" of pedophiles. Yeah.....let's not hurt their feelings. unbelievable. You wonder if this is not a "plan" . Just the beginning of changing our thinking concerning this behavior.

This is why it is important to use clear sentence structure and why it is not a good idea to post on the fly without taking the time to read what you posted before hitting submit.

momrajum, we have been "forced" to change our way of thinking on other things so I would not doubt if they tried it with this as well. Personally, I am not worried about whether or not I hurt their feelings. Their feelings being hurt should truly be the last thing that we as a society worry about in reference to them.

But there are people who do not find this particular behavior wrong and they will have an agenda as they clearly do. They will have an impact on some peoples thinking and it will begin to change. It is sad and frightening, but true.

Changing the subject just a bit ~

Very close to where I live, there is a place that takes in sex offenders after they are released from jail/prison. The man who runs it calls himself a bishop and spouts religion. There are usually 8 -15 men living in the facility. The "facility" is a small home just outside of town. I know they need somewhere to live and have very few options. The facility is completely legal. As far as I know there have not been any *incidences* in the area because of them living there. However, many of the small town people have meetings and post signs in the area.

That being said (flames are welcome now), I think the released offenders should have a certain part amputated before they can be released. JMO
