You know what? I don't care what people's favorite colors, or ice cream flavors are. It is of zero interest to me. But discussing interesting issues of the day does. However, we are not allowed to do that without someone crying foul here. I am not one to go around saying things are not fair, but I seriously feel this in not fair. I like it here. I like to discuss and debate issues. I particularly like to discuss those issues with those that think differently than I do so I can learn and grow.


Discussing ones "favorites" is shallow and mindless.

Dear dollydeal you always put a smile on my face, thanks so much for sharing your favorite icecream flavors. To me icecream is truly one of God's or mother nature's true inventions. Funny today on the food channel, they were discussing, that somewhere in California, fried Icecream is very popular. I watched the show and it explained that after eating some hot or spicy mexican food, this type of dessert goes perfect with the meal. They explained they keep the icecream at 24 degree's. then they coat it into a mixture of corn flakes and put it into the freezer to freeze. Then when ready they take it out and put it into the hot oil for 2 seconds. I have to admit it did look really yummy...Peace. Catherine

Of course to end World Hunger, just the other day, I was in the dentist office and reading the Time Magazine and they had pictures taken from Africa, where something like 70.000 people left their land to come to find some shelter, water and food. The pictures were so disturbing, it looked so hot, the dry soil from many months of no rain full, and the people were sitting on the ground to wait for just some basic food, which I believe was rice and some sort of bean paste. They mentioned in the story, they did not have enough food for all. They also mentioned that many millions of children would die before relief came. I honestly do not understand how there is so much wealth in some countries and so much wealth owned by people, that we still in the year 2011 have so much famine.. So sad to see the pictures of the skinny so sick babies, sincerely wish I could save them all.....Peace.....Catherine

I have had fried ice cream. It is vanilla ice cream covered in the crunchy corn flakes mixture and topped with hot fudge and whipped cream. It is very good. My favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough. (made with chocolate ice cream).

Yes 70.000 thousand people came looking for food and they expect another 40.000 thousand to 50.000 thousand more to come and at this point as the article pointed out they truly do not have the funds to feed all these people...So very sad....Peace and may God bring some relief and not make anyone go hungry or starve to death..not in today's time.......Peace......Catherine

Momofthree so you tried it, like I said I have heard of it, just never tried it..lol. I was wondering watching the program how they were going to put icecream and fry it in hot oil, however you learn something new each day, thanks so very much for sharing.....Peace......Catherine

What you are TRYING to say is very sad.

FYI You might try using a comma rather than a decimal point..... It makes a BIG DIFFERENCE!

ya know? I learned how important differentiating a comma and a period is when I issued a check to a vendor for $14,000 instead of $140.00.

I will use a comma your correct, and that is why I came back and wrote thousand so you would understand the magnitude of how large famine is in Africa especially Somalia where so many thousands have fled their homes in hope of more food, water, medicine and honestly the dust that has been created by the dry soil from all the past months of severe drought........Way too sad, for all by especially to see those babies with those distended bellies, oh God please pray on those people and bring them the help they so sadly need and fast.......Peace...Catherine

70.000 thousand does, I guess, also equal seventy thousand. It's a novel approach, but it does equal what it equals.

70,000 thousand = 70,000,000, also known as seventy million.
