While I have lived in New York all my life and have been lucky to visit many states, which state have you not visited, but would love too and why...I would have to say without a doubt Montana, to me it looks so beautiful, the mountains, the lakes, the wide open space..It truly looks like a lovely beautiful state to live in...So kindly share thanks so much....peace...Catherine

Idaho and Texas. I don't know why, but since I was little I always wanted to see a potato farm in Idaho. I picked Texas because I want to go to a steak house that was featured on Man vs Food. I forgot the name of it, but it looked like a really cool place to eat.

Maryann thanks for your comments. Idaho also seems like a lovely place to visit. I would assume there is something special about every state and it would be lovely if we all could visit them all. Hugs and peace......Catherine

It's probably the Big Texan, in Amarillo. They have a HUGE steak that you get free if you eat it all. Amarillo is West Texas, about 350 miles from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I lived there for a year when I was in my early 20s. It is a great town, although very cattle-oriented. I remember getting off the plane on my first visit, turning to my boss (I was being transferred) and telling him I couldn't stay there if it smelled like that all the time. His answer? That smell is money... lol

The smell is money, that is funny, sounds like something a Native New Yorker might say as well. I for one who does not eat meat, cannot imagine having to eat all that meat, where would one's stomach fit it all???. I watch Man Vs. Food all the time and honestly some of the things or food and the amounts that man can consume at one seating is amazing. The scary part is when Adam tries to eat the most amazing hot foods ever served, as a person who never ever eats anything spicy I do not know how he does it and walks away. I can only say his stomach perhaps is made of iron...Peace... Catherine

We've been there! That's is the biggest flipping steak I've ever seen in my life. I honestly don't think our whole family of 4 could have finished that steak! That place felt like the middle of the desert! Hot, windy, & dusty! We also visited the Cadillac Ranch!

I've been to about half the states....not sure where I want to go next. We'll get to all of them eventually.

That is most likely the place. I just want to see the steak in person, although I won't be the one ordering it

I'm always up for a visit to San Francisco as my family lives there. I went to NYC last November and loved it! I would absolutely LOVE to go back anytime!
I've visited a lot of states in the last year and a half for work and am headed to PA in 2 weeks so looking forward to that.
I would also love to see the Grand Canyon in person (saw if from a plane recently) and Yellowstone Park.

It is the desert, Lisa! The tumbleweeds out there are huge!!!! Cadillac Ranch - I'd forgotten about that.

We are going to visit Hawaii on October 1. It will be our first trip there. We are leaving Saturday and staying in condo on Maui, then coming home on October 7. I'm looking forward to it, although we aren't planning to do much. I just want to enjoy the beach and the views.

We went to Maui about 4 years ago and stayed in a condo on the beach. We absolutely loved it. Honolulu was awesome...so quaint and clean. We drove the entire length of the island just checking it out and were shocked at the poverty and homelessness there. You don't see that in the postcards!

You have to do a luau. Have a wonderful time! We are going to go back some time.

Thanks! We do want to go to a luau, but that's about it. I always plan so much for our vacations, but we're going to relax and play it by ear for this one.
