Wink Doing the happy dance only 7 days till September, fall is on the way

Not sure how many of you are happy summer is coming to a end. However I am I love the fall I simply love the colors, the fall festivals, harvest fest, miss eating soups and vegetable stews, will certaintely enjoy a really hot cup of tea... While summer is nice, if you could stay and swim in the water all day, with these hot flashes lol, it is not fun.. I hate to sweat and feeling the really hot heat from the sun on my head. So I am extremely happy Fall is on its way. Autumn better name for sure is a beautiful lovely time of the year for sure......Peace.....Catherine

I am not happy summer is ending at all. While Fall can be beautiful, I will miss the sun. I LOVE to feel the sun beating down on me. Fall means the Winter is coming and there will be months of being cold. I adore being outside in the summer, sweating while working in the yard, ice cold glasses of tea, jumping in Lake Huron to cool off. I am quite loathing the thought of being cold.

I am sure your emotions regarding this subject are stronger however.

I love the fall, however, I am not looking forward to September coming so quickly. My DS's birthday is Sept. 25, and every year about this time I start to feel old this year he will be 19, which means 3 short months later I will be 39

I could have written this post.

I enjoy fall and the crisp mornings and evenings, but it is always accompanied with the underlying dread of the season right around the corner.

Give me 110 over -10 any day.

I think it depends on where you live. I can't wait for some cooler weather, but we are at 50+ days of over 100 degrees. I'm really tired of the heat.

I LOVE summer, too. I never complain about the heat and I HATE the bitter cold. Oh, hope I am not picking on anyone.

I could never ever imagine living in a hot climate. For me the colder the better.. Fall weather is so crisp and beautiful, and then yes my all time favorite Winter dearly love when it snows, to feel that cold air deep in your lungs, so fresh so cool. To feel sweaty yucky, sticky and yucky literally cannot stand to sweat......Autumn is coming and I am so happy.......Peace. Catherine

I pick heat over cold any day, as well. I hate the bitter cold and all the bulky clothes and coats. I am never warm enough in the winter. I hate winter.

I think that's where we are different. "Bitter cold" is not a term that is used often here; however, heat advisory??? All the time! We don't have to worry about bulky coats, scarves, or sweaters that much. It just doesn't get that cold. If I lived where I was having to shovel snow, it would probably be a completely different story!!!!

I agree.

I hate having to bundle up just to run out to get the mail.

Hate having to shovel snow before I can walk to the mailbox (that, or walk over the top of the snow and have it turn into ice under my feet that I'll have to deal with until the spring thaw).

Hate going into a store and having to scrape my windows with my bone-chilled fingers before I can drive home.

Yep... I like summer where I can just skip out to the mailbox with nary an inconvenience or discomfort, run into WalMart in flip-flops, and see colors outside instead of just white white everywhere!

Luv2ydsale Sweetie Helen how have you been, omg how I miss trading with you and your wonderful coupons. I guess here in New York I am so used to the snow and the cold weather. How have you been, again so dearly sorry about your husband George, miss talking to him as well. I will admit though while I love to wear my high heel boots, I do love wearing sandels, I will miss that part. However because I only wear skirts or dress's I can wear sandels all the time, except for the snow..lol. And for me who is always hot and do not like the heat, wearing my clothes makes me very comfortable...Peace for now sweet friend.....Catherine

I'm sure me wearing my clothes also makes everyone else comfortable!

I swear....it's the simplest of things that tickle me these days

I've lived in the South (lots of humidity and heat). I currently live where we have cold (bitter cold) and snow.

I prefer the cold. I can always put on something else to warm up, it's kind of hard to take off enough to cool off! (see above comment)

Aryia I totally hear you sweetie, while I dearly love parts of Florida.....it is only for vacation and if I did stay longer it would have to be in the colder months in Florida...While on vacation in Florida this past July I lived in the pool literally....Loved feeling the cool water on my body so refreshing, you totally feel like a new person. When your in that hot humid heat, and you feel the sweat, it is so uncomfortable...and sticky and the bugs from the summer another thing disgusting, bring the brisk autumn and bring the cold weather and snow....especially for the holidays so beautiful I am waiting...Peace. When you go outside you can feel the sweat drip off your forehead in less then 2 minutes. It is awful!!! I hate living in constant central air conditioning but one cannot live without it here in Florida in these awful months. Fall Please come quicker!!!

Aryia totally agree with you within minutes of being in the hot sun, and feeling it on top of your head, it is horrible. Then you can feel the sweat down the front of your shirt and on your back, horrible, feeling that sweat. It totally drains your energy and makes me so uncomfortable. Like you said fall hurry and come fast, cannot wait to breathe that fresh brisk air into my lungs.....Peace and blessings....Catherine

I would say that fall is my favorite time of year. So nice, and oh those gorgeous Indian Summer days, and cool crisp nights. Just doesn't compare to any season. I also don't mind winter, so don't dread the onset of much cooler weather. I really like to breathe in that cold air.

My mom is the same way she loves the cooler weather. She has multiple health problems so the hot weather affects her ability to breathe easier. Luckily this year up north they really have not had to much hot weather. Another hot day in Florida! Ugh!!!
