$100

Finally, I got a great deal on something I like. Driving home last night, I thought I saw a wooden wardrobe - and not ala Walmart crud - in a driveway for sale. I turned around to go back and it wasn't crud !

It's real oak, single size but with 2 doors, European style. The original hooks and mirror are inside, and it even has the original key! He told me they had to sell it because they were just given his wife's grandmother's hoosier. Double treat for me, I got to see it as well. He accepted the $50 I had and we agreed I'd go back to get it today.

Got it and am very pleased. Getting ready to clean/shine it all up and bring inside to use.

Once in a while, good things do happen !

Wow! Sounds like a great bargain!

My $100 deal (that sadly wasn't reduced to $50 - could've been if I had been faster on the draw with Staples.com!) was an HP Touchpad that's due to arrive soon. They had been $500 but HP isn't going to do hardware like that anymore and clearanced them at a fabulous price that I couldn't resist. It's actually a gift for DH, but like the stuff he manages to get ME - lol - I assume this will become a family item.

Good things happen all the time, and for me the simplier easier things in life are always good. I love absolutely love to find a good bargain that is why I dearly love garage sales and tags sales.. For sometimes just the cost of a few dollars or pennies and I am in heaven for the goodies and deals I find. Better is when the stuff is right on the curb, in excellent condition and it is totally free, really sweet deal. I have found so many items and they are so simple and that makes for a really good day....Peace..Catherine

Great find DL! And you didn't even have to get up early on Saturday morning to snag it at a garage sale.

It's nice to be in the right place at the right time! Congrats!

Yes, sanstat it was a great find, it's actual oak, nothing fake or shabby chic crud. I cleaned it up to air out in the garage before bringing it in....nothing overly dirty and no smell, just what I do with any antique I get.

I didn't even offer less, it's clearly worth at least 4 times more than what I paid, and I have a spot picked out for it !

That was a great deal...so happy for you. Anything made of REAL wood today is so expensive.

You were so lucky to have all the fixtures with it also...too often those thing are lost.
