Would you read Jeff Ashton's book?

He has written a book about the Casey Anthony trial. I liked him very much during the trial. I'm sorry his career ended on such a sour note.

ETA: The name of the book is Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony. He got the title right that's for sure.

No way, I have no interest at all, on any subjects or dealings with the Casey Anthony, she belongs behinds bars.....anything concerning her is so not important. I would only being interested in they were to find out what happened to poor innocent Caylee, rest in peace little angel....Peace. Catherine

I plan on reading his book. I think the prosecution did a fantastic job. Now if anyone from the Anthony family were to write a book, I would not read that. IMO all they did was lie, so why waste my money to read more of their lies. The same with the jurors, I don't care to hear any of what they have to say. I did read that some of them were shunned from their family, and I don't feel bad for them at all.

I didn't follow the trial, and don't think I would read anything from the trial.

I doubt I will read anything about that trial....however;

After watching the documentary "Paradise Lost" (about the West Memphis 3), my perceptions and conclusion of guilt/innocence were dramatically changed! (and if the story of the West Memphis 3/Robin Hood Hills Murders isn't one you've read? I highly suggest it to show how closed mind some people are and how a miscarriage of justice happens. EXTREMELY LONG ARTICLE-The West Memphis Three — A Most Heinous Crime — Crime Library on truTV.com)

So, should I read anything about the trial/case, I will do so with an open mind.

I also watched the sequel to Paradise Lost last night! What a travesty for those young men and their families. Simple closed minded people and bigotry is what put those men behind bars. I absolutely hated the father of the one boy....the one who was certifiably crazy and loved the limelight...can't remember his name.

Because of the singlemindedness of the police, the real murders of those three little boys will never be solved. Sad.

I'm assuming you know that the WM3 were released last week after taking an Alford plea? They are free, however the real murderers will never be caught or prosecuted! And yeah, the one "dad" was frigging crazy and I believe he was involved.

Yes, Marilyn, I know they were freed on the 19th, thank the Lord! It just makes me so sick that they had to spend the last 18 years in prison on such a travesty of justice, KWIM?

That stepfather was certainly involved, in my opinion!

Yes, it makes me ill. Of late, I'm extremely disenchanted and disheartened with how the "system" works.

WM3 were persecuted. And the state of Arkansas "let" them take the Alford plea and time served because the boys were going to be vindicated/re-tried, and the State would then be the subject of an ENORMOUS lawsuit (and the state would lose!) And yet, there are people who still believe that the WM3 are guilty.

That is exactly why they made them plead guilty to be released. If they plead guilty, they can not sue the state. Pathetic!

To which subject are you referring to that your thoughts and views are the same?

Casey Anthony or WM3?

Little confused, if you could provide clarification it would help.

You are contradicting yourself. You said you're thoughts were the same. Those of us who were discussing WM3/Robin Hood Hills Murders were HAPPY that they WM3 were released from jail.

They let the WM3 out of jail because they did NOT kill those boys. WM3 sat for 18 years in prison because of small town prejudices, shoddy police work and ignorance.

Do some research. There was a HAIR in one of the knots used to restrain the young boys--it did not belong to any of the WM3. There were bite marks on one of the boys and it didn't match any of WM3. The "confession" of one of the WM3? It was from a young man of borderline intelligence and was coerced after several hours of brow-beating by the local yokel police!

LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE

Marilyn my mistake typing too fast, after reading all about what happened to those poor young innocent children I sincerely mean't to say, we live in a sick world, because they put the wrong people behind bars. Unlike Casey Anthony who walks a free women, for the time being at least. I know someday her past will catch up to her, just her actions and her demeanor, we have not heard the last of this evil women....Marilyn did this clarify your questions, sincerely hope so... peace and blessings to you and all here on the boards....Catherine.

So dearly sorry Marilyn you did not understand, you asked and I answered , I thought it was not important, however you did ask me and I did answer. Tell me dear what part of my answer to your question you did not understand. I mean't to say it makes me sick that these men were put in jail for a crime they did not commit, while Casey Anthony walked away totally free, no guilty, but no way innocent either. Again my emotions get in the way and I type fast, it is what is it. Take me as I am, I take you as you are, in the end it is so much better to be nice. So Marilyn have a lovely peaceful night...blessings to all. Catherine

It doesn't matter. I accept the fact that I am not meant to understand everyone.

But, I want to try very hard to understand. Sometimes, it just doesn't work.
