Here at MyCoupons we previously had a general message board, like The Cafe, but it was removed due to a great many posts that were offensive and degrading to other members. We believe strongly in allowing posts to be unmoderated and members to post freely and openly.

Lately, as we all know, a lot of the posts have been demeaning and the bickering has not stopped. MyCoupons moderators have tried to answer the countless PMs and maintain a non-biased opinion. We have tried allowing you each to speak your mind, we have put some members on temporary bans, removed and closed posts all the while hoping we could move on and let things calm subside but we have been unsuccessful in the measures we have taken.

If situations occur in which we feel The Cafe needs time to "cool off", we will put the boards on fully moderated post approval. That means there WILL be delays, sometimes significant, before threads / posts hit the boards. The moderators are volunteers and are not available 24/7. The length of time the post approval requirement is implemented will be determined by the moderators at that time.

Rules / Guidelines for The Cafe:

Members need to be respectful of one another (ie: No name calling, bashing, making hurtful, unkind, disparaging remark(s) to a member(s) ).

Threads are to remain on topic to the original topic. Threads that veer off topic will either be edited, locked and/or removed at the moderators discretion.

No profanity or vulgarity.

No pornography.

No advertising, spamming, referrals or affiliate links are allowed.

Do not post your own or anyone else's personal information on a public forum. Posts containing addresses and phone numbers will also be removed if they are discovered.

If a member threatens another member they will be banned immediately.

Posting of images within your post are acceptable, a long as the image does not exceed 120x60.

ALL threads will be closed when they reach 50 posts.

There is to be no solicitation of any kind.

We will allow hot issue topics to be discussed as long as it is done in a civil manner.

Discussions regarding sex or contain sexual content are not allowed and will be edited/deleted at the discretion of the moderators/administrators without notice. This is not a sex chat board.

Moderators will not discuss moderating decisions on the boards. Moderators have the right to edit, delete, close threads, ban members (temporarily or permanently at the discretion of the moderator).

Please check the rules and regulations thread often, as we reserve the right to add or modify at any time. You agree that the rules are subject to change and that you will check here periodically for updates.

We will continue to use an unbiased and open mind but would like to remind you this is a last ditch effort to keep The Cafe open. We appreciate each and every member and do not like to make these changes but we want every member to feel safe and to have their opinions heard in a respectful manner.
