Maybe they don't understand the idea that if you say something, people will remember or if it is said at a previous debate, it is more than likely on tape somewhere. It amazes me that some politicians think people won't remember what they said a few weeks ago and compare it to what they said yesterday. Geesh!

They've always geared their speeches to what their audience wants to hear. That makes it difficult when everything you say is on record somewhere. But since people love to hear what they want to hear, it doesn't really hurt them most of the time. But every now and then some whopper makes more headlines than anticipated and they have trouble backing off of it.
