Happy Halloween Everyone!

I've been in costume all day. Here on the West Coast it's only 4:30 so I won't be in full makeup until after dinner around 6. The local church has indoor trick or treat from 5-7 so I should start seeing kids around 7. I have a cauldron full of candy (hopefully there won't be more than 71 I had 72 but ate one 3Musketeers earlier so I'd have time to work it off lol) and I'm excited. The kids on the block have been playing in their costumes all day counting the minutes until they can put their masks on and go out! It won't even be dark until after six and for once it's not raining! This is probably the first in 10 or so years that it's been dry on Halloween.

What's going on at your house? For those in earlier time zones, how's the weather and how is the trick or treating going?

It's 6:47 here - I'm in my new home in Texas so don't know how many Trick or Treaters I'll have. So far, just one cute little girl a few minutes ago.

I'm looking forward to more - but I didn't even keep my light on the past few years where I used to live since the Halloween that I had exactly 2 little ones and 2 teeners - that was it all night.

Great here! Great weather, we've had over a hundred already! They started before it was dark. It's slowing down now, but they're still trickling in. The Chiefs are on Monday night football tonight that started 10 minutes ago, so I'm guessing some had to quit so their dads could watch football! LOL!

Wow Lisa over a hundred! I haven't seen that many trick or treaters since my growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1970s! I'm actually jealous because that makes it more fun!

Happy Halloween Everyone For once I was actually excited this Halloween, the past few years I had2-5 kids in total. Tonight the town only let the kids trick or treat from 6-8 and I had well over 100+ kids. I went through all my candy, I have maybe 8 snack sized crunch bars left.

Our weather is crisp and clear with temps in the low 60s and I live in a big subdivision and we had about thirty TOTers at the most! Darn, someone has to eat all this candy now.....

I think that most kids around here don't go TOT and instead, go to churches for a Fall Festival type of thing. When we lived in the PNW, we would have about two hundred every single year my kids were growing up (small town of 2000 people). I ran out of candy every year back then....maybe that is why I am so much heavier now than then - I didn't have to eat leftover candy!

Since we've never had anyone at our house, I always go to my parents in-town. We counted 154 kids!!

Maryann wow that was truly a large amount of children, we did okay after some time I simply just let the basket of candy outside, of course when I went to retrive it, all the candy was gone...its okay it is Halloween after all. Now the true Holidays begin I am so happy this is a lovely beautiful time of the year. Peace for our troops....Catherine

We had 76 kids, and each one could have a toy (little glider, pop-up animal, or squirt gun), and a little chocolate bar. Some kids only wanted a toy, but no one chose only chocolate. It's cool tonight (well, cool for AZ), and my husband took our son out, and came back with 2/3 of a plastic pumpkin full of candy, which is a ton for a three-year-old. He let me have his Sour Patch Kids. We have mostly Whoppers left, and a couple Cookies and Cream bars. The Reese's cups were gone first.

Well we ended up having 63 kids! I'm proud of myself for only eating one candy bar and I put the rest up for dispersing on my PMS days lol.

We had 72 kids, everyone got a toy and a piece of candy. That is more than we have ever had here, we normally only have about 30 kids. Hubby and I were trying to figure out why so many more kids this year?

And we only had 10. We usually have 30 to 60. Not sure what happened this year. I think I'm hanging up my Halloween shoes. Next year just leave the house dark and watch TV. It's always been my favorite, but I can't see decorating, buying candy, muzzling and leashing the dogs, and then spending the evening listening for the doorbell. I might change my mind by next year, who knows. Right now I have to get back to eating Tootsie Rolls and Three Musketeers.
