For us always real, even growing up we always had a real tree. For me the smell of the real tree makes the whole house smell wonderful. We only have wood floors no rugs, so clean up is easy.


I also decorate ours with either only white lights or red lights, no garland, and handmade little green wooden balls . Over the years we have added to our collection of homemade or old fashioned decorations for the tree. We also have all of our children's homemade items which are always wonderful. Finally we have a lot of our dogs, which are tea cup yorkies as well.

I like fake trees if I put one up cause their no mess.I got around to putting up a small tree this year.It's a fiber optic tree that came with some clear bulbs over some of the optic fibers.It flashes,white,blue,red,green,and purple and I have it smothered in multicolored lights and tiny decorations.Its only a couple feet high but it's really beautiful.

Dollydeal I do agree with you about the mess, however like mentioned since we have wooden floors the clean up is easy.

A big real tree for me. Twelve feet high, tiny white lights, and a mish-mash of collected ornaments.

Real or fake that is the question. Trees or people? I love a big real tree although I have nothing against the fake ones.
As far as people go big or small I will not deal with fake.

I like real trees, but the mess got to be too much. We have a beautiful fake tree that's a good height (7 or 7 1/2 feet) and very full. My husband decided a couple years ago to replace all of our regular tree lights with LED ones. WOW, what a difference! Really bright. I think he uses eight, 100-light strands. It's a very sparkly tree!

While I really love the smell of a real tree, we have fake ones. This year, however, we are not putting a tree up. We have health problems that are keeping us from being able to dig out big heavy boxes, etc. We will spend Christmas at our daughter's and she has two trees and we will be able to enjoy them this year. They are both fake.

Love and have always had a big real tree. This year, Dh had to bring the ladder in to get to the top of the 8 feet tree. My entire family and I truly enjoy a real tree.

Real trees smell lovely and while fake trees may not have a scent, fake internet names stink enough to let people know a fake.

We have both!! I put a fake in each the den and dining room, and the real in the great room. I LOVE a real tree!!

Would love to have a real tree, but 3 out of 4 of us are allergic to them.
