Best present ever.

Today in the mail I received the SWEETEST Christmas present. It was from our sweet Faith. We have not been able to even speak to her in over two years. She was three when she left......but that sweet little girl emptied her piggy bank and "dusted the basement" eg......did a few chores....to buy me some red gloves. There was also a card that said....."I love you so much"...not in so many words....xoxoxFaith. What a precious gift!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a great gift to you. It seems her birth family maybe is realizing that they are grateful for the gift that you gave them; a little girl that was so loved and well-cared for that she must be an incredible joy. That is why they made the effort to get Faith's gift to you.

Sorry I haven't responded. We don't have internet at our new house yet so I'm not on here much.

mailady....her Nana and I are good friends, she has kept me up on what goes on with Faith....it's her mom that will not let us have any contact. I have not spoken to Faith, but send messages through nana, and that has only been recently that we felt "safe" enough to do that!!

I wish there was a way to fix the problem with Faith's mom. You are obviously very important to that little girl. What a nice way to end 2011.

There is no way to fix her. She is not a nice person. She didn't even see her girls for Christmas and Nana had to find out from the little ones that they would be staying there for the holidays. "Mom" avoided speaking with Nana. This is how it all started before.....she fought so hard for them......for no reason.

Melissa, I'm SO HAPPY to hear that you heard from Faith. I was absolutely heart-broken reading about you losing her, but simply couldn't find any words that would make you feel any better (if there even ARE any words such as that). She obviously loves you very much which is a testament to your loving care while you had her. I know NOTHING can ease the pain you feel in your loss, but know that you have obviously touched her and I'm SURE she is a better person for it. You will always be in my prayers.

Just a note and a little pair of red gloves, mean the world to someone she loves mark my words, that little girl will never forget you and though the mom may not allow contact I believe she will seek you out when she grows up

I ended up doing some shopping myself and sent her and her sister a box full of goodies. I also wrote a note for sweet Faith and her nana said she was beyond thrilled with it and sat listening quietly and still as she read it to her. I am hopeful that one day we will be able to see her, but I'm afraid of what it would do to her having to just leave us again. She and her sister spent their entire Christmas vacation with their grandparents they went back today, the day they were supposed to start school. Mom just doesn't want to be bothered with them. Can you imagine CHOOSING to be away from your children for Christmas!!!
