OK, We've gotta have this thread- what are you thankful for?

I am so thankful that my husband is healthy after scary surgery in April.

I am thankful that my 3 children are happy, well-adjusted and close to each other.

I am thankful that my family - mother, sister, nieces & nephews - and their families are healthy and live nearby.

I’m thankful for the good Lord above for his blessings. I’m grateful for my son AJ, family (human and the furballs), friends and my boyfriend Greg. I am also thankful for the talented wonderful skills of my eye surgeon, who saved part of my eyesight so that I may enjoy the beauty that GOD provides.

I'm thankful for freedom of religion. Last Thanksgiving, we had a young man from the Ukraine stay with us for the weekend. He told us that his father does not go to church because he would never get a raise or promotion at work if he is seen coming or going from church.

I am also thankful for DH, and 2 DSs. Raising children is SO hard today, and I'm proud to say that both *boys* have grown up to be wonderful people.

I'm thankful DH was diagnosed and begun treatment for bipolar (yes, sounds pretty odd that I'm thankful that he has an illness--but it's a long story!)

I'm thankful for very healthy children.

I'm thankful for friends that have been there for me through some very trying times.

I am thankful for what we have. IE: health, food, clothing, family, home. I see so many people who dont have the money for just the basic needs. Its a real eye opener for folks to work with these people who are really in NEED . alot of our needs are really wants. but these folks have real needs. ( food , clothing. meds, heat)
I am also thankful for the wonderful God we have . Without him, we would be no where.

I am thankful for my daughter, husband and my 2 furry ones.
I am thankful that God is a part of our lives.
I am thankful that my husband has a job that provides for our family.
(This is a HUGE praise since there were a couple of years when there was no security. We were vicitms of downsizing not once, not twice, but three times in 2 years.)
I am thankful that there are so many men and women that are willing to sacrifice their lives to defend our country.
I am thankful that our family is in good health.

I am thankful that the Lord led the surgeons hands and helped me to be here today. A little over a year ago, I had a triple aneurysm to burst in my brain. It's been a difficult year, but I am still here for my family! My chances for survival prior to the surgery were .01%!!!!!! I was released from the hospital in time to celebrate my 50th birthday....and then my 51st! Truly a miracle!

I am thankful for the gift of life and health so that I am able to enjoy the holidays and every day with the people that I love. I am most thankful for my dear and loving family and friends: my brothers and sisters, Kenny, Marva, Everett, and Nikkia; my three beautiful children, Tatiana, William, and Jared; the love of my life, Larry;my mother, Lorraine;my grandmother, Bernice; my nephew, Makiah;and my other friends and relatives. I am thankful to have a roof over my head, heat, and plenty of food to eat, especially in these times when so many are in need. I am thankful to have a job that I enjoy and that helps me to support my family. I am very thankful for this online community that has given me such good ideas, friendship, and advice. Happy Thanksgivings and count your blessings!

I am thankful for my neighbor's gnome collection (just kidding - that always makes me smile - my neighbor has a gnome under his tree in the front yard and I constantly think of sneaking another gnome under there just to see if they would notice it).

I am thankful for my family being safe, happy, and healthy. I am a very family-oriented person when it comes to my family (DH, DS, and myself) and I feel so blessed to have such a great family.

I am thankful that we have food to eat, a warm place to sleep, and vehicles to drive.

I am thankful that DH has such a wonderful job that allows me to stay at home to be a full time mother/wife.

I am thankful that we have such terrific animals. They make us smile and show us so much love every day. Even on an awful day, having 2 dogs and a cat greet you at the door with smiles and tails wagging can always turn a frown into a smile.
