Smile Christmas Decorations-Have You Started Putting Yours Up Yet?

Okay, how many of you have put up Christmas decorations? I have not started yet, but since we have an artificial tree this year, we will probably start earlier than usual. I can't fault you early birds because the stores start decorating before Halloween now!

We usually put our tree up this weekend after Thanksgiving, which includes all the inside house decorations. We are having the lights put on the front of our house next Wednesday.

This year is going to be interesting because our house is going on the market in the morning (Saturday). The holidays are going to make it interesting, that's for sure!

Well I am EARLY this year. The girls and I put the tree up a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Now normally I'd wait until at least after Thanksgiving. But I knew things were going to be very busy and I didn't know when we would get to it if not early. The girls were thrilled. And so many in our area decorated about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! So at least we weren't out of place.
And can you believe I have most of the presents wrapped and under the tree, LOL! It's my motherly way of tormenting my kids longer.

since its suppose to be quite warm this weekend here in NY, our lights that frame the house and the wrought iron fence will go up, much harder to do in the wind and snow, so we'll take advantage of the mild weather.

We have this dingy cat that will knock everything down, so unsure about the tree.
Supposed to be nice this weekend so hopefully will get decorations up. We are about the only ones in the neighborhood that does not have any up!!

Not putting anything up except maybe the advetn calander if I can ever get to my moms to use her sewing machine. We usually put all these blow-ups up in our yard but last year some of the neighborhood jerks decided it would be fun to shoot them with bb guns and put holes in them, we've repaired them, but not going to bother this year.

We always drag all of our boxes out Thanksgiving weekend, and have the majority of our "decorating" (lol, if you can call it that) finished by Sunday evening. Hubby always wants to take things down the day after Christmas, but I insist we keep decorations up until New Year's Day, so the house will look somewhat festive for New Year's Eve.

We got everything up yesterday. My mil always did it the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We fell into the habit. Plus we have alot to do in the next couple of weeks. I am a teacher so I will have progress reports and Christmas pageants. My dd will graduate from college on the 17th. Yeah. We have to finish shopping and mailing to my two sons. Then our second son is getting married in March so I have to get a dress and so on and so on.

All the decorations are up and most of the gifts wrapped and under the tree. Now I just have to clean up the big mess I made pulling out all the decorations

Boy, I just can't get motivated to decorate. Maybe because it's still so warm here - that will change by tomorrow, though. I did put the Advent calendar up but that is it so far. I took down all the fall decorations and then I opened up a box of Christmas stuff to put out. My heart just wasn't in it so I closed the box up. I'll dive into decorating the house this weekend but we won't get our tree until next weekend.

We put up our tree and indoor decorations yesterday. We don't decorate outside. It is bitter cold right now where we live (Montana) and I just don't want to freeze my bones and/or jerk up my electricity bill anymore.

How awful of them.

Nope nothing up for us yet . We'll probably buy a tree next weekend. I don't feel like lugging the boxes of lights and decorations out of storage quite yet, lol

Outside is completely decorated and the inside is done except for the Christmas tree. We like real ones, so we'll put it up sometime after next weekend.

We managed to get the tree done Thanksgiving weekend but DH put off the outside lights. Good thing he did, we have a winter storm headed this way and the wind outside is terrible! I think most of it would have been blown down if he had done it last weekend.
We are thinking of grabbing some of those inflatable decorations. Menards have some of them marked down right now, so now I just have to decide which ones I want

The tree went up the day before Thanksgiving. The outside will hopefully be done tomorrow. There's already quite a few who are all lit up here. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!
